Should this really be set to an IP?

When the Geoplugin is used, it would be awesome to output the lat,lng as a parameter so other datasources can filter by it. Specifically the Map Location field allows you to filter by around a point, so you can start to see how this would be useful ;)

I think they may be a bug in trying to turn the Geoplugin on, checking the checkbox doesn't hold state when saving.

Setting it via config.php works as expected though.

The should really use the Gateway class (or straight curl if you like) as it's faster than file_get_contents

line 58 in class.os.php; 'ask jeeves\teoma' should change to 'ask jeeves/teoma' to prevent faulting the script when no useragent is set.

To prevent repeat lookups for the same IP address, it might be an idea to make use of the Cacheable class and save the location details against the IP Address. Repeat lookups can check to see if data is already exists for this IP Address before making the request.

This would make the site faster :)
