Installing dotnet is not difficult at all, could be worth exploring.

No need to limit the environment to arm64v8.

This should help with explaining what problems the repository is solving.

Pandoc is returning the following error while rendering mermaid md to pdf:

pdflatex not found. Please select a different --pdf-engine or install pdflatex

I use markdown and mermaid extensively. It would be good to have them rendered correctly.

This is just one extra file that does one thing because the working directory is non standard. Once the working directory is standardised, this file can potentially disappear.

Users might prefer to treat argon as their base image, install more dependencies and perform other root tasks.

Creating the non-root user and switching to it when argon is used as a base image is very restrictive.

This should allow for e.g. pushing docker images from inside running containers - very convenient as those containers should already have everything needed to work with the code.

That will simplify the examples.

Rendering presentations from markdown would be super handy.

If there are no images, do not attempt to interact with that directory.

An issue was encountered verifying workloads. For more information, run "dotnet workload update".

^^ warning pops up when starting an argon container running as a non-root user.

Parent issue for tracking: dotnet/sdk#35128

It depends on the .config/dotnet-tools.json file which is not shipped with the docker image. Easy to set up and configure in a repo using argon as base, though. Provide an example of how that would work. The example can sit beside terminal. Marking this as documentation.

More of a question than an issue, but I suspect environments running under root have their ssh certificates mapped incorrectly (to /home/root/.ssh). Not sure this is correct, suspecting it isn't.

Github ssh keys are not propagated from the host environment.
