ffripper's Issues

Slider not working

The slider isn't moving in many cases.
I think it is because of that code which tries to get position for slider:

 while True:
     success, position = self._player.query_position(Gst.Format.TIME)
     if success:
         position = float(position) / Gst.SECOND
             break
        return position

It doesn't exit the while loop.
The while loop was thought to accelerate the CD in order to get the position (it works only if the CD is rotating fast enough).

Get CD mount point on every Linux distribution

FFRipper needs to get the mount point on each Linux distribution, although it can differ from one distribution and another.

On Ubuntu with GNOME the mount point is: /run/user/1000/gvfs/cdda:host=sr0/
On Linux Mint with Cinnamon the mount point is: /run/user/999/gvfs/cdda:host=sr0/
On another it could be: /media/cdrom0/
And so on

I found the following links that could help to fix that problem:

Not all of them are for Linux, but they could all help.

Light and Dark theme

Light and dark theme for application like this:

settings = Gtk.Settings.get_default()
settings.set_property("gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme", True)

Playbin doesn't get duration

Updating slider not possible, because Playbin doesn't get duration of playing audio-file

Gst.Playbin isn't able to query duration of audio-file to update slider

Improve startup speed

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Fetching the data from MusicBrainz takes quite long, and the Window opens only after finishing the download.

Describe the solution you'd like
It would be useful to show the window with a fetching metadata text and disabled UI to prevent that the user thinks there is a startup problem.
