Look into using bugsense or similar about mobile-android HOT 6 CLOSED

I can integrate that easily and quickly. The only question is what e-mail we would use for the account. And the problem that the api key would be in the source and with that visible to everyone. Any suggestions?

Is it possible to include the API key optionally in a file that's ignored by git so it doesn't make it into the repository but included in the APKs?

Yes that can be done. I could put it into a resources file like values/apikeys.xml and have .gitignore ignore that one. Then if somebody tries to compile the app it will show them missing string values. would that be okay?
Or maybe i should commit that file once (with empty api keys) before putting it into gitignore.

If API Key not defined in the project, we should not use it .
