emojibuilder's Issues

Revive with open source assets?

I played with this tool a while back and loved it, I'm sad to see that you had to take it offline. There are several open-source emoji sets that would be usable if you wanted to revive it in a copyright-friendly way.

Twitter's Twemoji set is one of the most popular and I've used it for a few things before. It's the emoji font they use for Twitter.

Google also has their Noto Color Emoji set which is the emoji font for Android.

There's OpenMoji which I'm not very familiar with but is CC-BY-4.0 licensed.

I believe there are a few others but the question is more to whether you'd be interested in pursuing this at all than which particular emoji set you ought to use.

stuck at page load

Hi,

I am a big fan of your tool, it's unfortunate that the site doesn't work anymore. I tried to clone the repo and start the local server myself, but the website stuck at page loading, and I am out of ideas why it's not working, do you mind to take a look at the problem?

what I tried:

  1. git clone https://github.com/phlntn/emojibuilder.git
  2. cd emojibuilder
  3. npm install (received warning saying some of the dependencies have critical risk)
  4. npm start (server started, and loading icon show up on the screen at localhost port 3000), but it stucks there

Thanks,
Shawn

No cat nose addition

It's impossible to add a nose to the cat face, which leaves the emojis which use it looking very unusual.

License

Would you mind adding a license for the project?
