philril.github.io's Issues

Experimenting with Issues

Hey Phil, just experimenting with the issues as Challenge 12 instructed us to do. There's really not an issue with your blog post. Just to say something though, I'm really nervous about pair programming as well. I was homeschooled most of my life, so I'm definitely used to flying solo when it comes to learning. That and I've had some horrible experiences with group projects. Anyway, glad we're in the same boat and have the opportunity to pair together this coming week.

The Harm of Poorly Posed Questions

Hi Philip,

I enjoyed your blog post and think all of your points are spot on. As for how much detail to offer, I think it's very rare to to see a question that includes too much. The nice thing about print is that your reader is free to skim. As long as you're well organized, with a brief summary at the beginning, your question should be accessible to readers with a variety of experience.

Good luck with Phase 1!

Website feedback

Hey Philip,

Nice looking site. I like your layout and spacing of elements through the navigation and footer. You used transparency well also, and that lets everything flow together nicely.

The first bit of feedback for me would be that I'd like to see some visual cue in your navigation links. Maybe they can change font color or lose the text decoration on hover.

The only other thing that stood out for me was the blog page. It just looked very different with the borders around the posts. It seems like it would be fine to just have the text streaming over your nice background image.

All in all though, it looks great. Nice work.
