would it be possible to use Windows 10 as a target or there is a reason why you support only Windows 11?

Microsoft will let users uninstall Edge, Bing, and disable ads on Windows 11 as it complies with the Digital Markets Act

These changes will rollout in preview on Windows 11 in the Insider Beta Channel in the coming weeks, and will become generally available early next year. Microsoft says Windows 11 will be fully compliant with the DMA by March 6th, 2024. Many of these same changes will roll out to Windows 10 by then, too.

So it would be nice if (in the future) there would be checkboxes for doing this (checked by default).

I had issues with the hash validation:

Micosoft shares the hashes in uppercase:

The sha256sum tool expects them to be lowercase.

The solution is to provide the sha256sum to lowercase.

(I just want to open this issue to inform potential others, I might add a PR.)

Follow up question:
Would you consider to allow to skip the iso hash check, for example when there is no hash provided at the web form?

Hi,
firstly thanks for very cool project. I've been looking for some way to get working Windows box without manual steps.

However, I'm more familiar with Windows 10. If I generate the image here I can run it but there is a major stop for me.

The Windows 11 require Microsoft account. Is there a possibility to elevate the newly created user to the Admin so he's able to install and change stuff in the image?

What I get now is just the UAC without the Yes button.

There are guides on how to disconnect the Win11 installation from the internet to get there but since this project does not use the installer application and just sets up the environment can it also modify the user accounts?

I've run ./utils/mkdisk.sh and copied build/images/disk.vmdk.gz and build/images/disk.vmdk.manifest to webapp/dist/. I've built the webapp and run python -m http.server in the dist folder.

However, downloading fails:

Is there a way to get an image without the Web?
