On Console8 (and Agons with joysticks) would be nice to use the joystick 🙂, that's why people bought a Console8 and not an AL2.

Would be nice to see a high score... and retain it between games. I have done this in my games by saving a small prefs file on the SD card.

When you lose a life and are exploding, you can still fire bullets, which you shouldn't be able to do.

Graphics... the green line across the bottom goes all the way to the left, but on the right it stops short and the ship goes a bit further. I am being very picky here!!

If you get finally killed and are still frantically shooting, the next game starts again straight away as any key starts a new game, so you can't see your score. Maybe use a specific key to start again, or introduce a delay on menu screen? Maybe have a 'game over' screen with score displayed?

When ESCaping to MOS, original screen VDU mode is not restored, but defaults to 1 (I think). The sysvars have the current mode so you can capture that and restore on exit.
