hugo-dpsg's Issues

Menu Item Font - Serif?

Is it intentional that the Menu Items appear in a serif font when the site default is sans serif?

Please consider themes\hugo-dpsg\assets\css\style.css # .menu__link:

  • Line 3/5 has $fontSans / $fontFamilyPrimary as "Open Sans", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif
  • Line 633 shows "'Merriweather', Georgia, serif;"
  • Line 450 similar with "address", hard-coded (but visually fine).

I would expect that a theme does not mix serif and sans-serif. I realize that custom CSS files can be configured to override this, and you of course might simply find the current look much better, but from a (non-professional) design point of view I believe the default should be consistent across the whole page, i.e. non-serif.

Feel free to close this issue if that choice was intentional. Also, I did not check the underlying WordPress theme, maybe that's just a setting that was taken over from there faithfully. Otherwise, just deleting CSS line 633 is what I would recommend.

I really appreciate you making your work available publicly. Thanks!
M.

Merge upstream or push features to upstream

Hi there,
I quite like the theme and the changes made to Mainroad.
However the development of Mainroad continues and here it does not.

Would you consider merging upstream?
Bringing the features of this theme to upstream would be even better and you would not have to invest the time maintaining :)

Greetings

Start entry in menu bar shows up twice

The first entry in the menu bar, titled "Start" shows up twice in the example page. The only way to get rid of it is to keep the "[menu]" part of the config.toml, while deleting "[[menu.main]] id = Start". Deleting the whole menu section will keep the double entry. I do not think that this is the intended behaviour.

Also, is it possible to turn off the most recent blog posts on the menu bar? I find that a bit unnecessary, as those are already shown on the widget.

Submenue in menue

Hey, awesome theme. I am using it for a freshly constituted NGO to support our local community.
I tried to create a submenue within the theme using the config.toml. But that kind of failed.

Has someone a working example of a submenue within the menue? A dropdown once you click.
