.NET Core Hello World

Instructions for Visual Studio Code

• download and install Dot Net Core from https://www.microsoft.com/net/core
• open a command prompt or Terminal and type dotnet --help to make sure everything is installed correctly
• download and install Visual Studio Code from https://code.visualstudio.com/
• in VS Code open Extensions and search for C# - Install it
• from Command palette, type Debug: Download .NET Core Debugger
• open HelloWorld folder from VS Code (folder is peval27/HelloWorld/src/)
• use CTRL+ALT+B to build the project
• debug it using the Debug menu within VS CODE

Instructions for Visual Studio 2015 Community editions

• download .NET Core Tooling Preview for Visual Studio 2015 (make sure the Visual Studio version you have installed matches the one of the tools) and install it
• open HelloWorld.sln and build or debug within Visual Studio as usual
