When logrunnerd is copying logs, it will only restore permissions on files, not directories.

So when /var/log/postgres/ is owned by user postgres in the file system, and you start logrunnerd, it will belong to root instead. This breaks most server software.

The solution is to rewrite Python's copytree...

I tryed LogRunner but I didn't feel it useful for my purposes... I want to uninstall it but there isn't a 'uninsntall' option in setup.py...

Which is the right sequence of commands to uninstall LogRunner?

Unless logrunnerd is called with --config it will ignore /etc/logrunner.conf. This is unusual.
