docs-examples's Issues

Need steps in transferring standard integration example (the index.html page) into a custom webpage

Hi

I implemented the example and got the paypal standard integration to work properly, but when I try to transfer the code into my website, it does not work. in displays an error 'cannot Get'

What I did was I transferred the script code from the index.html to my web page, titled webpage.php, and it gave the error.

What I would like is to get the proper integration steps that work in the sample and transfer it to an entirely new page.

Any ideas or feedbacks would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks
Frank

PHP Examples ?

Hi,
why only nodejs fullstack example code?
Where to find PHP examples (not the deprecated sdk) please?

v2 API

After some hours using v1 API, and failing following this guide because of CSP (Have not found a workaround yet), I found this repo.

can I use this approach instead of the one shown in the PayPal docs?

Need some help...

I have knowledge of HTML and CSS, but very little regarding API, REST, etc. etc. Is there a more comprehensive resource anyone can point me to which explains the process of implementing PayPal Advanced Checkout step-by-step (in very small steps)? The documentation on PayPal's site is vague and incomplete. As is the documentation within the code posted here. I searched all over the internet, and of course found nothing. I can't be the only one with this problem; I'm sure many other people are attempting to implement this without spending a fortune on a proper development team. Thanks in advance for any help! P.S. I was able to create a page where the requisite customer entry spaces, but the CC areas are not clickable to populate and enter info.

Clearer instructions on Fetch commands

Without getting off topic, this entire instructional needs to be completely redone with more concise, step-by-step instructions. As others have pointed out, your instructions both on the PP website and here are extremely vague, and you gloss over most of the details. I am well-versed in HTML, CSS, JS, & Node, but your setup simply doesn't work if one follows your instructions. I'm left having to work out most of this myself.

I have followed your instructions to the letter, but when I run tests in my browser, the Fetch command does not recognize "/my-server/create-paypal-order" in the app.js file. The content parameters would suggest this command is trying to call a JSON file, but NO WHERE in your instructions do you clarify what file or what needs to be "fetched" here. It's trying to fetch a string of characters, not a JSON file.

Also I'm getting a console error stating that <!DOCTYPE = html> is not valid JSON (it's reading my HTML file). Why is it trying to read my parent HTML file, and why does is it looking for JSON there?!
