I saw this functionality in gnome (the latest version with Fedora), and it is interesting since it better integrates the images with the system.
I was looking for similar applications that do it, and I also found one called "Dark Mode Wallpaper". Here is the source code, it would be interesting to include something like that.

This issue started in v2.5.0, before the update it worked fine.

When changing the device's theme, the colors of the wallpaper remain the same. The colors will change only if you open Doodle app and then go back to homescreen.

Device: Xiaomi Mi 9T
Android: 11 (AOSP)
Doodle: 2.5.0 (from Google Play)

Would you consider putting this app on F-Droid, please?

I really don't like the zoom in animation when you unlock your phone if this was added i could like unlocking my phone

Sensor values have to be flipped

If someone selects e.g. Hebrew or Uyghur as app language, the layout direction changes, but the app name on the main page ("Doodle") stays unchanged and untranslated.
Is it hard for people to switch between RTL and LTR while reading? Then it would be better to somehow translate the app name so it's both RTL, am I right? Feedback welcome!

I tried to set the wallpaper and it worked, but not on the lock screen. Was it my fault? I want to know the answer. The others work fine. Thank you!

Maybe caused by frame drawing in WallpaperService or in SvgDrawable

As all Pixel/android lovers all know, Google has built a color extract engine "monet" in the upcoming android 12, which does a amazing job generating theme colors based on any custom wallpapers. This app has done a great job working with "material you" color system, but sometimes the extracted color may not look so perfect with the doodle itself.

So i was wondering if devs can add an option to manually change the background/foreground color, just in case someone being not satisfact by the whole look. Any further details/devs are welcomed!

Is it possible to add an option to randomize the wallpaper design on unlock? Or random the design based on a timer?

Hello, I am facing an issue in which if I close the app window the live wallpaper gets stuck even the the app is running in the background and also not power restrictions are enable and autostar is enabled.

Device: Mi 11x 5G(Global)
OS: Miui 12.5.7
Android Version: 11

Objects in groups should always look exactly like on the original SVG, without offset when the group is zoomed out

Everytime when tilt effect is turned on the app starts to freeze or crashes.

I just found this app and immediately loved it, but there was just one very small thing that missed.

I was a fan of the Material You color scheme that my old wallpaper had and wanted to keep it, but I couldn't find a way to choose colors other than the hardcoded ones.

I ended up just changing the hex codes and compiling from source to get the colors to my likings, but even though it kind of breaks the idea of Material You I still think it would be a nice feature to have built in without needing to do a custom compile.

Add android:directBootAware="true" to manifest service, lets wallpaper start with boot

Solution: when positioning the shapes, check for landscape mode if needed and adjust the respective position.

First of all, I want to say I love your app so much! The wallpapers are just so amazing! Thank you for putting together this app and all of the wallpapers.

I'd love to see more wallpaper options or even custom wallpapers in the future. I'm not sure how you render each wallpapers and what goes in to making one of these wallpapers, but I'd definitely love to have more options!

A dracula themed or purpulish doodle of pixel 4 walls would be very nice to have.

But probably no effect because system gets stuck for a second calculating the new UI colors

Every time I unlock the phone, the shapes of the wallpapers appear at different angles and sizes. Sometimes the wallpaper is too small or it gets stuck in weird shapes. Apparently this has to do with the zoom effect when unlocking the device. I'm running Android 9.

Random wallpaper based on time duration or days would be a better feature than on every time we lock the phone anything similar to what I mentioned if possible would be great. Lastly thanks for this wonderful app and keep doing the great work👍.

thanks for your work! As an additional feature it would be nice to have a option to get a random shape colors for the selected theme. Or maybe random from a few preset colors, so you only get colors that match well.

Im currently using MIUI 12, and what I want is the moving wallpaper (when you move your phone). However, I'm running into these issues:

I set it my wallpaper from the app.

After one minute of inactivity on my device, it turns into a still image.

It works when I restart my phone or restart the app, but as mentioned above it works temporarily and turns into a still image after one minute (exactly).

I've tried everything- setting it from the Google Wallpaper app (has no effect), clearing my Themes app data, and making sure the app has full permissions and can bypass battery saver. Is this app (or the moving wallpaper) not compatible with MIUI 12?

The memory usage of Doodle is very high compared to other apps, even Chrome uses much less memory. The graphics seem to be the main part, but also native code (Doodle does not use any native lib?).

How can the memory usage be reduced?
