Open any random youtube video, go fullscreen and to the end of the video. Allow autoplay to go to a new video. When you exit the fullscreen, you will see the old video title, description e.tc, with the new video in the player.

If you implement the @downloadURL line, to the metadata block, Greasemonkey and ViolentMonkey will actually find updates and to install it.

Without it, it may not find any updates, so please add it.

I found out about this when it didn't auto-update it.

Currently the extension has no way to save the user settings and no changes can be saved yet.

If more people are interested, you can add this to your todo list.
An OSD appearing while you are changing the volume levels with your mouse wheel. It could be a simple number in a corner of the video, or maybe if you have the time in the future, be something like the screenshot below.

I would love to see this uploaded to Greasyfork for faster updating and easier installation

I know you aren't really taking any requests for features or anything but since this is already a feature that you plan to implement into the release version of iridium, I was wondering if at all possible if you could make the full browser video mode actually fill the whole browser window and possibly have the video stretch to fill the whole player instead?

Current implementation of full browser video mode on youtube+ has black bars on the side of the player (dunno if that's how you intend to do it on iridium or not yet since it's slated for the release version at the latest currently), if you where to implement the way I am asking it would fill the whole browser window width.

Maybe you could make it an extra option as well so that people who don't like it can turn it off (and have the default method of how youtube+ currently does it) while people who do like it can have it turned on.

It looks like all the words doesn't appear translated. I think I may changed something on the code by accident, or maybe because most of the words have accents (á, é, í, ó, ú. Like in number = número). So I guess you should check it. Thanks. 😄 I did it with Notepad++, by the way.

Is there a settings menu? How can I reach it?

I'm using Tampermonkey.

After you allow ads on videos, ads are not working.
When ad should be played, playback just stops (no ad playing just pause) and you have to resume playback.

I don't know if this is a known issue or not. Excuse me if it is.
I've been using the latest script and I found that Iridium settings don't save correctly.
The behavior isn't fully reproducible, because I found it to be very inconsistent.
Sometimes settings don't stick even with one YouTube tab open. You open the settings, make your changes, close the settings tab, then reopen them and the settings are reset.
Other times they do stick around if I reopen them, but when I close the YouTube tab and open another, I find that the settings are reset.
The most common case is when I close and reopen the browser. That way options are reset to defaults.

I'll be happy to try out any suggestions, or share any info that might be useful to resolve this.

I've tested this on 2 systems. One with win7 x64 and another with win10 x64. Both with latest Chrome Beta: Version 60.0.3112.40 (Official Build) beta (64-bit)
and both with latest Tampermonkey Stable 4.3.6
No other userscripts are running besides Iridium, and no other chrome extensions that mess up YouTube are running either.

If you have 'Play videos automatically' disabled, clicking on a timestamp for a video doesn't seek/resume the video automatically like it should.

It would be great if you added an option to play videos automatically only if tab is in focus. (If you open a video in current tab it plays normally, if you open it in new tab it is stopped.) Maybe also with an option of auto playing that stopped video when you switch to its tab (though that's a fancy feature almost nobody bothers to implement).

Also an option to allow buffering on auto stopped videos would be nice, though no longer essential as Youtube upped their buffering speed. Moved to dedicated request in #11

Hey, I'd like to test out the plugin.. but I'm not sure how to run it. How would I run this script on Vivaldi/Chrome?

Simple tweak, super useful, but almost no addon/script has this option.

Thank you for your great work on this amazing script, it makes using Youtube a pleasure again. Thank you especially for the option to disable HFR (60 FPS), it allows people with slow connections like me to be able to watch youtube in 720p/1080p without buffering!

I tested the userscript in Chrome and it worked really well, so why not mark it as compatible with Chrome?
I know that you are dropping the Chrome Store extension in favor for Opera Store's version, but I'm using the userscript at the moment.

All you need to focus on is backwards playlist playback, an auto HD function, and a way to disable DASH!
Can you tell me if you plan on getting these things implemented? Otherwise sticking around is useless.

The standalone blacklist feature needs to be updated and implemented in the new version.

currently there is no way to access that page unless by typing it directly on the browser. A button shortcut needs to be implemented on the YouTube pages to direct users to the settings page.

The pause functionality for the k button doesn't work anymore with player shortcuts always on or off.

The video preview (hover) counts as a regular view, triggering analytics, and for many cases that might not be what people want. I would suggest a simple switch between thumbnails like for example:

sorry, this isn't really an issue, but rather a question. i was just wondering if there is a way to access a settings page like in particle - when i launch youtube with extension enabled i see no button to get to settings. if there is, in fact, no traditional settings page, how would i go about changing settings via editing of the script (i'm very novice in scripting, programming, etc). anyways, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your excellent work on particle and iridium - you have made youtube tolerable once more!!!
