Quark also adds sort buttons to the inventory. Could a config be added to offset the buttons from this mod to a different location?

Feature Request - button to toggle magnet on/off

I'm using sophisticatedbackpacks-1.16.4-1.1.2.105 together with the mod Create.
It would be nice to have a hotkey to turn the magnet on/off (and have a small indication on the UI to show if it is on/off).

Alternative something like Botania's Solegnolia (I don't have Botania in my mod pack but could add it just to get this flower if supported by Sophisticated Backpacks) to disable magnets in a certain area.

[Feature Request] Command to get back a backpack with a specific UUID

The command would be useful in the case the backpack gets somehow deleted, especially if the command can do some sort of tab completion too.

JEI '+' button is only shown while items are missing

With an iron backup and pickup upgrade in the top slot, and a crafting upgrade in the bottom slot.
The crafting grid is open (right side) with the arrow pointed down (player inventory).

When I open a recipe in JEI for a 3x3 craft (haven't tried 2x2 or shapeless) - the '+' button is shown when I'm missing items for the shown recipe. But once I have all items the '+' button is just gone from the JEI recipe page.

Indestructible enderman wearing a backpack

In my creative world, I found a totally indestructible enderman wearing a backpack. Resistance V gives monsters 100% damage immunity (20% per level). That should be capped at level 4.

Accidentally put my backpack inside itself--and now I can't access it anymore

Like the title says. I was idly moving some things between inventory and the backpack, and somehow I was able to stow the backpack within itself, along with all of my important items (naturally), and now I can no longer open it or find it. I'm playing on 1.16.4 and I've not previously been able to stow the backpack within itself. I've only applied a gold/magnet filter to it so I haven't done anything new.

Is it just gone or can I get it back?

Advanced Compacting Upgrade not working with Lapis

I have the advanced compacting upgrade set to a blank blacklist. It seems to be compacting most vanilla and modded materials. However it just doesn't seem to want to work with Lapis. I've tried taking it out and inserting it several times, I fiddled with the settings and it even uncompacted regular lapis into some modded shards; but it won't compact it into the blocks.

[Feature Request] Disable sorting

There are currently options to move the sort buttons around so they do not overlap with similar features from other mods. Would it be possible to have an additional option in the configs to be able to hide/disable the buttons entirely?

Placing lava buckets as acceptable fuel types into the Auto-smelting window crashes the game

Diamond backpack item duplication exploit

Gamemode: Multiplayer survival
Issue: Upgrading to a diamond backpack replaces items inside with the content of the last created Diamond backpack, these items are duplicated and are not shared between the different backpacks (Oposite to an Ender chest behavior).

To recreate:

Craft a regular backpack, place items inside
Craft a second backpack, place items inside
Upgrade first backpack to diamond
Upgrade second backpack to diamond

Result: Second backpack content will mirror the first one.

Add Netherite backpack with more upgrade slots

Thank you for your mod. Best backpack mod for 1.16, imho.

I'm finding the diamond backpack slot limit very restrictive. I suggest this mod adds a netherite upgrade, which doesn't add inventory space (diamond is ample), but another 1 or 2 upgrade slots.

Auto smelt Upgrade is Duping Ore's to 64 Stack

The Auto smelt is dragging my (modded) Ores into the slot to burn them.
This dupes them to a full stack.

There is no complicated things needed to reproduce this bug, just let your ore smelt and enjoy

It would be very nice for SB to have support for both the demagnetize mod and botania's solegnolia.

Netherite backpack missing curios:back tag.

Not sure if it was intentional, but netherite backpack is missing the curios:back tag, so it can't be put into the curios back slot.

[Feature Request] Ender Backpack alternate Tier (Linked Backpacks as a feature?)

Seeing those linked backpack bugs made me think that a different backpack could be made out of this.
It'd be a standalone backpack that can't be improved further (except for adding upgrades) and that does nothing special on its own, but can be linked to another ender backpack by putting them in the same crafting grid along with an ender pearl, however both backpacks need to be empty for that.

You could share the linked backpack to a friend or leave it at the base on top of a hopper/storage solution to handle the items in whatever way you want.

By default the capacity could be the same as the leather backpack, and the name of the backpack could always be overridden to show the id of the link.

The crafting recipe could be something like these unless you think they're too cheap, but please no nether stars.

There could also be a recipe to unlink it by simply putting it in a blank grid and getting it out, and it would go back to its old inventory UID.

Feeding Upgrade Eaten Food Doesn't Count as Eaten for Spice of Life Carrot Edition

Not sure if this is caused by Sophisticated Backpacks, Spice of Life: Carrot Edition or both, but eaten foods via Feeding Upgrade don't count as eaten for the extra hp milestones from Spice of Life: Carrot Edition.

[Feature Request] Support for JEI's drag and drop for filters.

In mods like refined storage and immersive engineering whenever an item slot only acts as a filter, JEI allows to drag and drop the item definition from it's own panel rather than having to own the item in question.

When hovering an item on JEI the filter slots turn green signifying that drag and drop is available for that slot.
This feature would make setting up upgrade filters less of a pain.

Describe the bug
Item or stack gets duplicated when placing in 1st slot of the hotbar while using backpack.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Empty your first hotbar slot.
Open backpack.
Place item in first hotbar slot.

You are kicked out of the interface and you will have a copy of the item on the ground.
It seems to work 50% of the time with this method.
If you have more than one of the item already, there is another method with better success rate.

Place one of the item in the first slot.
Open backpack.
Place the rest of the stack on the first slot.

You are then kicked off the backpack interface, half of the stack drops on the floor and upon opening the backpack again, it drops the other half.

Add feeding upgrade support for potions

It would be nice if the feeding upgrade could auto-drink potions for me. It would drink a new potion as soon as the old one wore off.

[Feature Request] Option to set refill upgrade to only refill partial stacks

I'd like to see a checkbox added to the Refill upgrade. The tooltip will say "Only refill partial stacks"

When enabled: The upgrade will only refill items if at least one of that item exists in your inventory. If there are 1-63 of that item, it will top off the stack. If there are none of that item it won't start a new stack.

When disabled: Current behavior. If no items are in the inventory, it will transfer a stack from the backpack to the inventory.

Not a high priority, but the Comforts mod's sleeping bags are significantly less convenient when I can't tell my backpack not to suck them up automatically when they "break" themselves back into an item.

Description
The Comforts mod's sleeping bags are designed to "break" back into an item as soon as you're done sleeping on them, but the backpack's Pickup and Magnet upgrades' filters don't seem to care if you put a sleeping bag into their filter grid in block mode (in my case with match tags on).

Steps to reproduce
Equip Pickup or Magnet upgrade to backpack
Set its filter to block your sleeping bag and match tags
Use your sleeping bag to pass the night

When I crafted my backpack, i have the same as one of my friends.

Adv. Compacting Upgrade not working

I have the advanced compacting upgrade in by backpack and when I put a coal piece in the filter area and a stack of coal in the backpack, nothing happens. I have tried changing the allow/block option, the filter matching type, and i've left it alone for a while and it still isn't working.

(1.16.5) Coloring the backpack makes items vanish

I was playing with a friend on local online and he decided to recolor his backpack. He forgot to take the items out of the bp before coloring it and the items vanished. I tried replicating the issue in singleplayer and, as you can see here, it is not related with the fact that we were playing online. What made me think is that items are still in the backpack until the moment you take it out of the crafting table slot, that's weird. RIP loot from a dungeon we explored.

Unable to disable items

Attempting to disable items by removing them from the enabledItems section in the config does not actually disable the items. They retain their recipes and remain able to be crafted.

shift clicking in crafting tab dupes items

Using sophisticatedbackpacks-1.16.4-2.2.6.207 with a crafting upgrade and the stone cutter upgrade.

In both of these upgrades using shift click on the crafting result slot puts one stack into the player inventory (arrow points downwards) but only uses one set of crafting ingredients.

In the stone cutter I tested with stone -> stone bricks and stone bricks -> stone brick stairs.

For crafting I crafted Bloodmagic blank runes which uses an orb that is not consumed while crafting.

Backpacks duplication/inventory issue

I started a small modded minecraft server with some friends a couple days ago, and today while 3 of us were on we noticed the backpacks were actin a bit buggy.

It started with me loosing my backpacks inventory and it being replaced with items that were in my other friends backpacks. I disconnected and reconnected to no fix. We all named our backpacks to see if that would change anything, and just a couple minutes later my friend lost some of his inventory.

One of us began disconnecting and reconnecting a bunch, and noticed that every couple of reconnects his backpack inventory would change or even dupe items. I tried this as well and on the fourth reconnect my entire backpack inventory dissapeared.

Once they got off i went into creative to do some testing, and was unable to recreate the issue when I was the only one on the server with spawned in backpacks. All i did was spam the disconnect and reconnect again like before, as well as opened and close the backpack a bunch. While doing this my game started lagging a lot as well, which fixed when after relaunching minecraft.

I crafted a backpack and in survival tested the same steps(still solo) and could not recreate. Speculating, I'm guessing it can only happen when other players are connected. Let me know if you need any info from me, I havent used Github much except for crash logs but in this case there is no crash log to upload.

Items can be cloned

Hi!

Friends of mine have discovered an exploit to clone items on multiplayer. Here are the steps:

Player X puts items (e.g. blocks of diamond) in the backpack.
Player X puts the backpack on the ground.
Player Y opens the backpack.
Player X destroys the backpack.
Player Y still has the backpack open. (But when using vanilla chests, the window is automatically closed.)
Player X moves the items from the backpack to his inventory.
Player Y still has the backpack open. The items are still available for him, thus he can also collect the items resulting in doubled items.

I hope this is easy to fix as it's game breaking. Thank you for your work, it's really great! <3

[Bug] Dyeing backpacks with multiple colours

When dyeing backpacks with the new system, any additional dye past the first you place in the crafting grid after placing the backpack causes the recipe output to disappear rather than update with the new output. You can get the updated output to reappear by removing and then re-adding the backpack to the crafting grid.

Basically it only works with multiple dyes so long as the backpack is the last item placed in the crafting grid.

Feature Request - Deposit items matching target inventory contents

For the deposit mode I would love to have a mode (alternate update?) that deposits all items that match items in the chest.

[Feature Request] Ability to lock slots in a backpack to prevent move on auto-sort

I find it useful to use certain backpack slots (like bottom row) for specific items, usually other nested backpacks. I would love to lock/unlock those slots at will so that I can still auto-sort the rest of the contents.

Graphical bug when a backpack has no upgrade slots

If you reduce the number of upgrade slots in a bag to zero (0) it will show a small nub out of the side of the interface where the upgrades used to be. This does not seem like desired or intended behaviour.

Crash - Ticking block entity

Game crashed when the backpack block was loaded.
Happening in Debug World or when I place the backpack with /setblock command.
Game doesn't crash when I place the backpack manualy from my inventory with Shift Click.

As the crash doen't occur in normal game/survival, it's not a big game-breaker, and thus isn't urgent, but it is a bug that should be fixed.
I presume that this would happen if the backpack was generated maybe with a structure, but I don't know how to do that, so I cannot test this scenario.

My take is that it's trying to set an owner or something, and because it was generated it doen's have one. I don't know how this mod works, though, so I cound be completely wrong.

Issue with bundles mod

Hello! I don't know if the issue is on your side but i encountered a compatibility problem between your mod and the Bundles! mod https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/bundles-mod
The bundles should be showing the items they contain on hover, however this doesn't work when the backpack interface is opened. It still works as intended when i open the normal inventory.
I am playing on 1.16.3 with both backpacks (v 0.9.2.70) and the Bundles! mod (v 1.3). Curios API is version 4.0.3.0

better filtering on advanced pickup/magnet upgrades

I think two things would make it better:

tag filtering: select per item which tag(s) to use, now items have multiple tags and some are relevant but a lot are not.
Contents filtering: Filter based on what is already in the backpack

Got this error when trying to shift click an arrow

So my game crashed, and I got this error when trying to shift click an arrow from the left side of the backpack inventory. That said, arrows were there because the backpack instantly took all my storage from my inventory, and only showed items in those left slots, so I was trying to see if I could take items back.

Edit: So after I crashed and logged back in, my items were back to me and the backpack didn't take them away again.

Edit 2: I'm using the version of backpacks 136, downloaded yesterday at what my computer says is an hour before you released a new version. I'm going to test out the same scenario in the new version and update this accordingly.

hey there
me and a freind play on a server and i crafted a packpack after he crafted his he had all the items that i had in my backpack in his backpack aswell then i logged off and to my suprise when i loged on again all my items where gone.
