I downloaded and built this with VS2019 and it seems to be running and sending data, but when I try to look at the Metrics, following the ReadMe instructions and selecting Metric "Queue", the "Add Filter" option is disabled with the tooltip "Filter is not supported for the selected metric(s). Filtering includes, or excludes, certain values of a dimension in the result set."
Is there some change needed to the code or some configuration I've missed?
I've updated all NuGet packages referenced with no change in behaviour.
Firstly, this is a great tool it does exactly what I was looking for!
However an issue I'm experiencing is as follows:
The queue length of my instance is currently a steady 679 but the metric is returning a strange undulating behavior.
Every so often the correct value of 679 is reported, but since it keeps sending these hugely out of whack numbers, it becomes less useful for accurate metric alerts.
Could you provide any suggestions as to what causes this odd behavior?
After a few hours, there are no more metrics being reported. The container instance is still running, however nothing seems to happen.
After further investigation, I found that exception handling of IHostedServices
in .NET Core 3 to be the reason. See #23 with a fix for this issue.
