PROBLEM

The tests are intentionally very strict regarding Git output, and if they fail, that doesn't necessarily indicate that the action itself failed. Because I don't have any old versions of Git lying around (I build from newest master in the git.git repo once a week or so), I'm unable to test this on old versions.

SOLUTION

Will have to dig up some old Git versions for testing and loosen up the tests.

PS: Given suuid, I will let you know once I am in a state where I can upload eventtracker; it aims to correlate events across repos. Think "pics from two cameras of one event" or "my private pics here and conference_proceedings there and I would like to link the two".
