first of all THANK YOU.
I can't switch to Ethermine Pool, I think there is a little bug.
Would It be possible to track down for errors? I sometimes get a CUDA error and after this I always get the same hashrate in the output. It would be nice if Minerlamp would restart in this case

This Project Looks nice :-) have been working with a powershell solution. Could you pls provide a compiled Version (win x64)?

1. Could you explain abit more what the settings in GUI does.
2. If i'm running multiple GPU, i would like to set witch to use.
   So if card 0,1 crash it just restarts those cards, not everyone.

I'm just running this .bat script now:

3. Instead of command line, maybe it can use a .bat script already made?
4. Is there any loss in MH\s using this?

I think a log file would be nice. Since i see i got X restarts, it would be nice to know why.

i have 2 vega 56 grapic cards.

I get the nvml.dll missing error.
I looks like this dll is needed only for nvidia cards and i don't need the dll?

Trying to use MinerLamp, but after clicking "start mining" getting a continuous stream of windows notifications saying "Miner's lamp restarted it automatically" (even after exiting the GUI window). Is this a known issue? Is there a fix for this?

The params being used are:
Miner path: C:\Users\myuser\Documents\EthMiner\ethminer.exe
command line: --farm-recheck 200 -U -S us1.ethermine.org:4444 -FS eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -O <some adddr>.<rigname>
Everything else in deafult settings.
OS: Windows 10

Hi, when I run minerlamp.exe it wont open the gui and I get windows system error saying the ETHminer dlls are not found for example --> vcruntime140, msvcp140. I have minerlamp running on another PC no problem and I copied the full directory onto another PC but it won't run, windows throws the error messages. I deleted the copied over version and extracted from the zip but it still won't run still get the errors.

Any ideas?

the latest release of MinerLamp is currently not working with ethminer 0.12.0rc2, When MinerLamp is started, I get the following output:

ethminer started
ethminer stopped

and that keeps repeating. Hopefully you can make it work with the RC2 release soon. I love what you are doing!

I have finally make the program work but the hash rate is very low.. it's saying like 12 mh/s per GPU... Why is that?

I would like to be able to run several instances of MinerLamp, because I run the devices by groups
I created two folders with MinerLamp and tried to run each instances from each folder, but MinerLamps will alway have the settings from the last instance running. Anyway to have several instances running, each keeping its own settings when starting or restarting?

I noticed a significant increase in cpu usage. Miner's Lamp uses nearly constantly 1 core (out of 4). Haven't noticed this with earlier Versions.

edit: Seems to be related to afterburner. When overclocking too much, afterburner hangs - somehow then also minerlamp uses more cpu power..

I'm having an issue with version 0.012 on windows however

running this as the command line

Getting the following in the console

ethminer start

ethminer exit

I can create a bat file and run it successfully
ethminer.exe --farm-recheck 2000 -U -S eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -FS us1.ethermine.org:4444 -O 0xD2E43C04f49aa41d00f491DdB2dD324De47D75c2

Any ideas what could be causing the issue ?

seems not to be applied after restarting miner's Lamp.

It would be nice if the last LED blinking setting would be saved and automatically implemented on restart. As of v.537 the user has to set the desired settings every time after restart.

ethminer 0.12.0rc1 was just released a few hours ago (as of time of writing). Its new output format isn't recognized by MinerLamp.

I don't mind to donate, cause I like your tool.

But everytime the donation run kicks in the miner crashes. Miner is not able to connect to pool or has a DAG problem.

You should think of mining the donation on something else than Ethereum. The DAG size is over 2G and older cards will crash. On my older rigs I'm currently mining Expanse and Ubiq. Those have smaller DAG sizes and will not crash.

Had to switch back to just using genoil and ended up writing my own watchdog script.

Would be very cool if the option to blink gpu LEDs on accepted share was separate from the overclock function. A possibility for this could be to have Minerlamp output audio on accepted share and use the nvidia LED visualizer to flash the LED on that sound.

If i reboot my rig the settings are lost. Seems like there is no config file which are saved?
The "start miner on startup" feature wont start the program on windows start. If you mean on minerlamp startup i would highly interested in an autostartup feature for windows.

Another Idea.

sometimes when CUDA error comes, my overclock Settings get reset. I use MSI Afterburner with profiles.

I found a Switch for that, so profiles can be loaded and applied via commandline.

So - having another Path/Exec Var pointing to MSI Afterburner plus an Integer (1-5) one could force Afterburner to reload a given Profile after a CUDA Crash..

MSIAfterburner.exe /Profile[1-5]

Wondering what happens to Memory consumption if minerlamp runs for longer periods. I think is would be good to limit the displaymemory (where the log is shown)?

In your README file you state:

When this 5 minutes delay is gone, ethminer is restarted using the user credentials. If you prefer to not use this system, you have to comment the DONATE flag in the .pro file and recompil the code.

"recmpil" is missing an "e" by the way. :) I've noticed that there is no DONATE flag in the .pro file. Also, in the GUI you can uncheck the donation option. Is this paragraph in the README still valid then?

I had a failure where something crashed (I am guessing one of the GPUs) and ethminer started finding stale/incorrect nonces. Although I had the MinerLamp logging truncated to exclude the MH/s output, I am guessing all logging except for the "Solution Found" line stopped. Thus, I think MinerLamp failed to notice the crash and didn't restart.

Brainstorming: two ways to detect:

1. if no hash rate printed for X seconds then fail, or
2. if multiple "Solution found" printed without corresponding stratum message (accepted or stale) then fail

System is 7x RX470.

Running ethminer 0.12.0.dev1

The good news is ethminer now reports per card hashrate. The bad news is Minerlamp doesn't see anything. Unfortunately that makes the watchdog non-functional with the latest 0.12 dev2 release.

And you just fixed MinerLamp for a new format 8 days ago! :(. I think they'll keep it like this now.

I'm testing ethminer and minerlamp on my rig (actually I'm using Claymore miner) but I'm facing some issues :

• sometime I lost a GPU (I'm running 4 GTX 1060 but after a while, ethminer use only 3 GPU and display only 3 hashrate in the log)
• sometime hashrates are low but not null. Each GTX give me about 23/24 MH/s

It would be nice to have a setting for :

• restarting the miner when hashrate is below a certain value during x seconds. In my case, I would like to restart miner when hashrate is lower than 80 MH/s for more than 60 seconds.

• indicate how many GPU are normally used by the miner and restart the computer if miner see less GPU. In my case, I would set up 4 GPU and when miner see only 3 or less GPU, MinerLamp restart the computer.

I hope that you will find my features interesting for a next release ;)

Can this application run in a non-GUI version?

Good work!!, but i noticed in linux when i use minerlamp it have many many rejects (dwarfpool)
when i use command line much much less reject if any (I have no idea why its happening)
another small issue is when submitting stale share it does not consider this as failure therefore will not restart the miner (can be fixed?)

I know its a known issue but can you give maybe instruction how to compile on linux?

I tried to implement a moving avg. But I don't know c++ so I ran from error to error - damn oldschool basic...

Idea would be to calculate a moving avg for the Hashrate without the Need to store values:

Loop (
k++
avg_hashrate=avg_hashrate+ (new_hashrate - avg_hashrate)/k
)

this would enter a state of near Equilibrium over time without the need to store values. One could have a check like
?mod(k)=20 or 50;k=0;k

or just let k constant at 20 to have some tiny but noticable changes (i like this one most)

Hi you should really advertise that there is donation enabled in the releases!!!!!!!

Witch version of Qt do you use? Assume i have to have it to compile.

A nice improvement would be to add a log or counter for restarts. With a counter Minerlamp would be perfect for figuring out the max overclock for each card.

I build myself and i tried to use the binary from release but I see 0.00 in hashrate?
is it a problem with my miner or its general problem? It used to be on the Windows title that also not working anymore

Dear Dev,

The issue that it is not possible to disable change of fan settings of GPUs.
Always auto adjusting all cards fan speeds, which is unlikely.

I would like to control fan and other GPU settings with an other program like MSI AB.
Please add a possibility to disable autoset of GPU parameters.

I can't find nvapi.h in any packages. I tried to download NVAPI from nvidia site but there is only Windows version.

Downloaded the latest version, looks like max power and memory clock feature are not working,I am using GTX 1060 3GB cards.

Can I ask you one enhancement, Could you please add share accepted and rejected as a separate tab in the main gui, I keep only share to be displayed.

finding the app really useful but I'm unable to set or disable the fan control in OC. Is it possible to add settings to the config file to do it? The fan spins up to 70% when the GPU is only at 51C with minerlamp, runs at 42% with ethminer and GPU fan control app.
