opensprinkler-hardware's Issues

Files unreadable in current version of Eagle 9.5.0

Eagle-9.5.0 (linux) downloaded today cannot read either the brd or sch files. Message is:

Loading /home/bruce/Apps/eagle-9.5.0/ospi143.sch ...
Error:
line 8, column 16: This is not an EAGLE file.

Loading /home/bruce/Apps/eagle-9.5.0/ospi143.brd ...
Error:
line 8, column 16: This is not an EAGLE file.

Is there a reader that can view these files? Otherwise, this HW repo may not be useful anymore, except to those with old versions of SW.

Enhancement suggestion for OSPi152.stl

Small suggestion but making a perforation or opening for the ethernet port would be handy - I guess people just deploy these things on wifi, but if you want to do a wired connection you need a drill :) - I should have thought of this before printing and just made a hole - my bad.

Able to include a BOM?

Is it possible to include a BOM with component manufacturer and part numbers (and ideally distributor, e.g. Digikey, part number) for V3? I can probably figure out most details from schematic, but it'd be great to have something concrete.

Can't open .brd or .sch files

Using EAGLE 9.6.2. education
Error when opening dcdr_3.2.brd
Error when opening other files as well
errorcode:
line 8, column 16: This is not an EAGLE file.

Thanks.

It would be great to have photos of how things look.

I will build this project as a way to learn how to build circuits.
I can create a BOM in eagle but some items are not recognized, the switches and the plugs for example, that would be great to have your BOM in .csv format that mouser recognizes. Or maybe you use another store for your SMD? Also it would be great to have photos of how the parts fit.

Burned Transistor Reeplacement

Hello @rayshobby

Yesterday one of the station of my OpenSprinkler Pi stopped working suddenly.
After check the wiring and the valve then i move to check the OSPi board and i see a burned component on the board. (evident)

After some measuring 24v (AC) and a average consumtion of 0.23 - 0.25 A (per valve individually) i have no idea what could happen.
I dont know if the time of use is important on that case but specifically most of valves works about 20minutes per day except that station that usuay works for 3hours per day.

I would like to reeplace that component, but i could not find any information bout the part number, model, etc...
I apreciate your help in provide that information and maybe an alternative (that supports more current) to extend the life of the board.

Thank you in advance!

Schematics in PDF?

Hi - I don't have or use Eagle. Would it be possible to see the schematics in PDF format? Cheers.
