Adding a new paper guidelines

  1. Make sure the paper is in PDF format.
  2. Rename the paper to format Y1_ENG, here Y1 is for the year (Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4) and first 3 letters of the course.
  3. Clone the repo and add the file to the correct directory. Y1_ENG shall go to for ex. year1/sem1. directory
  4. Branch specific subjects shall go into respective branch folders. If a subject is common for multiple branches, don't add it in every folder. Add it in any one of the branches and use that link for all.
  5. Make changes in the HTML file for the subject(s) in correct semester and branch(s).
  6. Make a Pull Request!

paper.lnmiit's Issues

Rename folders

Please rename folders sem 1, sem 2 in year 2, year 3, year 4 to respective semester.
Example: In year 2, sem 1 should be renamed to sem 3 and sem 2 renamed to sem 4.
This is because pages are targetted to these folders in year2.html, year3.html, year4.html

Add a page containing download links for folder contents (Use GitHub APIs)

I'm submitting a ...

  • feature request

Current behaviour:
Script is being downloaded

Expected behaviour:
Page must be loaded which contains the downloading links for all the papers uploaded in the specific folder.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Get familiar with the way papers are uploaded in the repository, it's quite simple just take a view of the folder structure.
  2. Checkout GitHub Rest APIs or GraphQL APIs, there are APIs for almost anything in GitHub.
  3. Delete the Current PHP Script, as it is not supported by GitHub Pages.
  4. Make an HTML page using the Specific GitHub API and make copies of it in every folder wherever it is required.
  5. Send us a PR for it ๐Ÿ˜„

Create year wise pages

we need minimum 4 pages right now. One for each year. Inside that make 2 sections one for each semester and give links to papers as they come. Make one simple template like the index page and copy it 4 times for all the years.

Change in organization of this repository

Folders are organized according to year and semester but we have a change in our curriculum. According to ACM there are many amendments made in course structure so file should be subject wise.
Furthermore, the folders should contain material year wise. This structure can make this repo more organized.
Example : Folder P2
Year 12
Year 13
Year 14
Year 15
Year 16
Folder DSA
Year 12
Year 13
Year 14
Year 15
Year 16

Option for downloading paper.

It would be great if we download the paper for the website itself instead of redirecting the client to the GitHub repo. for instance what I mean to say is described below using snapshots.

Hope you got the context.

@goyal-sidd @yashovardhanagrawal @nimbus1212 @punit-agarwal any suggestions?

@yashovardhanagrawal side-bar is missing from other pages.
here we are missing framework because if we had leveraged a framework than we could have leveraged the power of templates and here are we are violating DRY principle and reinventing the wheel.

Encouraging people to add papers in the repository

The website's almost complete but the main aim of ours is still not fulfilled. We have to encourage people to add papers in this repository.
We might drop an email to all the people to just at least send us papers via a google form maybe if they aren't familiar with GitHub, which we can upload at our convenience. Most of the people I feel are not comfortable with GitHub that's why we haven't got much contributions from people who might just have old papers with them.

Improve UI

Need contributors in order to enhance UI of the web application ๐Ÿ‘
