es-mod-share's Issues

The website should really "pop"

More Web 2.0 stuff.

But really, it should match better the official site. Not enough to be confused for an official site, but enough that they're clearly cousins or sisters or step-sisters.

Look into using a copycatting a stock theme, and modifying it? Better than relying on my own graphics stills.

Support multiple screenshots

MZ:

The biggest thing would be to find a clean way of allowing each mod to specify a list of screenshots, and to page through them if you bring up the details on the mod. (Ideally, that could work the same way the screenshots page on the main website works.)

Utilize Jekyll to include all mod data in page request (or as single api call), rather than multiple calls

MZ:

Someone also ought to take a look at the relative benefits of JSON files vs. Jekyll files vs. just editing a data structure in a Javascript. In any case eventually it would be great if the game only has to pull down a single web page (script or HTML) to get all the information it needs on the available mods.

My plan for how to do the mods was to embed the metadata in data-* attributes generated from Jekyll data and embedded directly into the HTML file of the mods gallery, to speed up load times by limiting the number of separate files that have to be retrieved. But I have no idea if that would actually be the best way of doing it or not.

[Enhancement] Voting/Endorsements

Probably already on the radar, but any half-decent repo of user-generated content needs to have some way to rate said content in order to battle Sturgeon's law.

Jpgs aren't supported

App is hardcoded to only look for .png files, should accept multiple image types.
