Right now master and gh-pages aren't in sync. Since GitHub Pages can handle compiling Jekyll sites directly (post-push), I'd like to propose turning (and I'd be happy to do this!) the site into "just" a Jekyll site.

I'd use the Jekyll template already in use for the _news section (see master), make all the pages _pages content, and generally get things setup for simpler service.

Once complete, I'd propose dropping the master branch and making gh-pages the default / primary branch on the repo to avoid confusion later.

Hi there. I want to use the event :

annotationEditorShown(editor, annotation)

but I don't think this is supported in the v2 alpha. Are there plans to make this available in the latest version?

I've also submitted a request to have the archives ingested, but that appears not to have happened yet.

Folks involved in improving annotatorjs.org, you may wish to link here. It is less apparent to me how one subscribes here vs the official home of the list, so you may wish to link to both?

The main nav is different on several pages:
index.html nav: Code / Docs / Showcase / Plugins
plugins/index.html: Code / Docs / Issues / Plugins
showcase.html: Code / Demo / Docs / Issues

I'm happy to make this update, but I can't tell what the desired nav is. It looks like the Demo is being dropped from the nav? And Issues and Showcase needs to be included?

Getting the "Sorry we could not search the store for annotations" error from the annotator.

Could you change the default for the docs to the stable (2.x) docs? And remove the "Beware: rapidly changing documentation!" line? 😄

Dear developers,

it seems that your demo on http://annotatorjs.org/ does not work anymore. The JavaScript files can't be loaded. My Chrome (v83) console returns:
