decky-plugin's Issues

Limitation of single Jak game installation at a time with OpenGOAL 1.1.1 Decky Plugin

I noticed an interesting scenario with my Steam Deck where I have both the ISOs for Jak 1 and Jak 2. However, when I attempt to install them using the decky loader plugin in OpenGOAL, it appears I can only install one game at a time. This is specifically the case when I use the shortcut maker. I can either have only one or the other. Iโ€™m not sure if this is by design or not, but I thought it was worth mentioning. I was hoping to have both games installed simultaneously. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

[Steam Deck] "Create Jak 1 Shortcut" does not work

Describe the Bug

After walking through the install of Decky as well as the OpenGOAL plugin successfully, I installed Jak 1. That installed without issue.

When Clicking the "Create Jak 1 Shortcut" button, I am told a restart is needed for the changes to take effect. I understand this is expected and click "Restart Now"

After the restart, Jak 1 does not appear in my library anywhere. I have reinstalled the OpenGOAL plugin as well as Decky in its entirety.

This happens on the stable and beta release of SteamOS and the Stable Release of Decky.

How To Reproduce

Attempt to Create Jak 1 Shortcut in OpenGOAL Decky plugin

Does this problem occur on original hardware or PCSX2?

Yes, it's unique to OpenGOAL

Expected Behavior

When I click the "Create Jak 1 Shortcut button and restart, the game should be added to my library"

Environment Information

Steam Deck (Non-OLED). This happens on Stable and Beta release as of Jan 12 2024. OS Version 3.5.7.
Decky Version 2.10.10

Game Version

PAL

Have you set the game to something other than 60fps?

No

Setup CI

So the plugin doesn't have to be manually built.

Change framerate

I installed Jak 1 on both my pc with the launcher and my steamdeck with the decky plugin and on the steamdeck I miss the experimental option to change de framerite, which is a shame considering the oled uses a 90hz display.
Is this normal or am I missing something?

Consider publishing on official Decky store

Most of the current plugins are general purpose, so it feels a bit weird to put out something so highly specialized. But it would no doubt be easier for users to install.

There's a few things that have to be done for this -- cleanup the link references and plugin.json.
