I have switched from Unc0ver to Taurine because of the panic reboots on Unc0ver.

My device is IPXSMAX14.4.2

Founding:
1- Taurine version 1.1.7, battery is not that good but it's fine, no panic reboots at all.

2- Taurine version 1.1.7-2, is not even compatible.

3- Taurine version 1.1.7-3, battery is excellent compared to previous version, panic reboots.

This is just to keep ppl knowing what might cause the panic reboots.

My system version number 14.5 has been changed to 15.7, which has caused me to be unable to escape and clear the escape. I don't know what to do now. Can you create a software to clear the escape?

Can we get some support for this iOS version and our device? - the app is not yet finished as you can see about incompatibility with devices due to the fact how kfd exploit works

It’s more optimized and worked for newer devices rather than older ones so we need also an support just like newer devices is getting it by jailbreak community

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Install Taurine 1.1.7-3 app on iPhone
Jailbreak iPhone using Taurine 1.1.7-3 app
Install Kodi from repo using package manager, or download deb from kodi website and install with Filza (kodi64_19.4-0.deb)
Launch Kodi app and observe that it closes on launch. I only see the Kodi splash screen for a second and then it crashes.

There are no Kodi logs showing under "private > var > mobile > Library > Preferences > Kodi > kodi.log". Neither anything is being logged to Cr4shed tweak to provide.

Please tell me where to find a debug log and I’ll happilly post it here.

It used to work fine when I used unc0ver jailbreak.
Someone reported this issue on Kodi github and says: "It starts fine with earlier versions of Taurine, e.g. Taurine 1.1.5"

Also someone commented there: "I'm having the same issue and i believe it is an entitlement issue with the kodi ipa that is caused by the method that Taurine uses to ensure that it is permanently signed."

When trying to install Kodi ipa through TrollStore which should take care of the signing,

TrollStore log says it's failing at the kodi framework library and there was something about python 3.8:

Im not really understood I just chated with gemini and it said that Taurine v1.0-RC it is compatible version with is 17 and hier but comming soon is Taurine v1.0 that will be fix some issues in previous version and idk would apple close possibility using taurine for full jailbreak in ios 18

Sudo fails to accept unique password (changed from default) in every version of 1.1.7 I have tried. This did not happen with Taurine on 14.3 before but arose on Taurine and 14.8 for me. I have tried adding 'mobile' to sudoers file with visudo, changed sudoeres.d to allow sudo, etc, to no avail. Mind you, this bug does not persist when jailbreaking with OddesseyRa1n. (Sudo functions as expected.) Also, changing sudo password back to default (alpine) restores sudo function. Could be a bug with the sudoers plugin and the way it decrypts the sudo passwd? I don't know but it's very strange to me that the jailbreak would affect sudo password in any way.

Su functions as expected with unique password. Ssh'ing into mobile user also works with unique password. Su mobile also works, which is bizarre. Just sudo is broken for some strange reason. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Using Taurine im able to successfully jailbreak the device, but im unable to use the touchscreen. Buttons like the volume and home button work. and the screen still works, but i am unable to interact with it through the touchscreen. Any help?

I have problems both with my iPhone Xs and old 7 on 14.8 launching carplay. This occurs both with wired and wireless. The 7 works fine when jailbroken with odysseyra1n.

My phone has broken its screen after that I fixed it, and when I jailbreak the phone, the screen freezes and I cannot do anything but restart the device!

"Concerning jailbreaking iOS versions 14.5 and above, there's been a persistent issue with Telecommunications (telecom) SIM cards losing signal. This problem first arose about two years ago with the unc0ver and fugu14 jailbreaks. It specifically affects iOS versions 14.5 and higher. Surprisingly, even with the latest Taurine jailbreak using the kfd exploit, this issue still persists.

The main reason behind this problem seems to be an elusive bug introduced during the jailbreaking process, causing disruptions to VoLTE (Voice over LTE), 5G, and CarPlay functionality. Nowadays, telecom providers have shut down their 2G networks. To make calls, you must enable VoLTE. Otherwise, you'll have no signal for calls, only data. In some regions where 2G networks are still active, you can make calls, but you won't have access to 5G, VoLTE, or CarPlay.

Currently, mobile networks like China Mobile and China Unicom are gradually phasing out 2G networks. If this issue isn't addressed soon, it could lead to a situation where none of your SIM cards can make calls. We sincerely hope for a swift resolution to this problem. Thank you immensely!"

Coolstar has announced that (for now) he is not going to be developing the Untether for Taurine. He also had said that if there was a 14.7/14.8.x or 15.x exploit, he would return to Taurine. (not guaranteed)

You can also modify the Open Source release to initialize from Fugu14 libkrw for a 14.5 semi-untethered jailbreak if you are that desperate. (You'll be on your own if you try doing that, and I do NOT recommend you try this if you don't know what you are doing. Just wait for someone with the knowledge to do it.)

Instead of embedding the “boot logo” in the jailbreakd binary, can it be put separately so that it can be themed?
Or maybe if it detects an image in a specific spot it uses that one instead?

jb is ok. but install frida and run script with any apps -> crash & reboot device.

I have recently jailbroken my ios 14.2 iphone 11 pro max with Taurine. However some issues has arisen. I can't seem to access my settings. Each time I try to access my settings it crashes. In sileo when updating, downloading or trying to delete a tweak, when restart springboard pop up is visible it doesn't comply. It does nothing. The tweak i installed, that i suspect is the culprit, changed the appearance of settings so that tweaks are made accessible at the top of settings.

Anyone know how to fix the issue i have? Or has any suggestions?

1.1.7.b1 Observations.

Iphone 7 on 14.8 with preexisting Oddeseyra1n install.

1: sudo is broken. Does not recognize mobile password. Root password is functional. (Rejailbreaking with Checkra1n restores proper sudo function.)

2: Boot Nonce is 'na' in Dimentio, System info/About. Setting Boot Nonce with System Info fails with a tfp0 error. Setting Boot Nonce with Taurine does nothing.

3: Data bars, are grayed out after jbing with Taurine. They only come back if I toggle Airplane mode. (Data does seem to work however)

• Create tweak with com.apple.WebKit.Networking target
• Do NSLog in the constructor.

• Outputting a message to the log

• When starting some applications (Chrome, A-Look ...), there is no message output to the log, in others (Zebra ...) the message is outputed to the log.

Description:
When the com.apple.WebKit.Networking process is created, pspawn_payload-stg2.dylib and TweakInject.dylib are loaded into it, but the tweak with target com.apple.WebKit.Networking is not loaded into process. Inject to webpages = enabled

There are two BUGs after IOS14.6 jailbreak.

1. The Home app cannot add new accessories, and the added accessories appear unresponsive.
2. Wireless carplay cannot connect

taurine said that is already jailbroken then I think is because of the path amfi in the kernel, that we use to boot. I tried to modify the app in order to that passed the function isjailbroken and every time returned false so that worked however that stuck in waiting for amfidebilitate. I want to modify the app in order to pass amfi exploitation however i don't know how to do that. any idea makes me happier xd :)

On 12 Pro ios14.7.1, China Telecom 5G is not available, and 4G is an empty signal.

Hopefully the CarPlay issue gets some future attention. It seems fully broken (wired and wireless) on taurine above 14.5 or so.
