Mint

We've got 2 weeks to knock-out the first Smart contracts to be deployed on Terra's Col-5 testnet:

POC Idea

Enable minters to collateralize up to 10 synthetic music assets with UST or aUST that are priced based on real-world music streaming data from a source like: https://api.chartmetric.com/apidoc/

Minters earn native tokens emitted per block proportionally to their share of the total collateralized assets.

Enable leveraged trades on collateralized synthetic music assets with payoff function visualizer.

โ›“ Chainlink Grant Proposal

New Data Source Grant Proposal

Total Amount Requested: $100,000

What weโ€™re building:
We are seeking to open-up music listening data to smart contract developers through the Chainlink oracle network. Some of the most popular blockchain projects are built around music, Audius which boasts over 5 million users has recently partnered with TikTok, and there are numerous other music projects in the industry including AudioCoin, BitSong, CyberFM, Emanate, GET protocol, OnChain Music, Potentium, RAC (a DJ who has released his own token) and Viberate. However the data available to smart contract developers is currently limited to what is on-chain, by opening-up music listening data to smart contract developers we enable new use cases that can enable teams to produce applications which feature real world music data, for example a decentralized music charts which could be built to feature the artists from a decentralized music streaming service, or a play-to-earn music gaming dApp that rewards users proportionally based both on their score and the songs popularity; as popularity changes over time, and is influenced by grassroots music curators, a data source like this has the potential to be instrumental in introducing a crypto-native generation of tastemakers and artists.

Accomplishments from the Chainlink grant
We have three major targets during the Chainlink grant program:

  1. Determining the data source(s).

  2. (a) Retrieving and aggregating the data into a single API
    (b) Integration with third party aggregator

  3. Setting up the API feed to be compatible with Chainlink oracles.

Proposed Milestones:

Milestone 1: Researching data sources
Timeline/hours: 30 days
Budget: xxx
Tasks:

  1. Researching the data sources from individual DSPs, APIs, other providers and aggregators.
  2. Testing scraping from DSP and other provider public data, API and aggregator data.
  3. Analyze and cost-up results of DSP etc scraping and aggregator information retrieval.

Deliverable:
Feasibility study of scraping independent data sources (DSPs, APIs and other) vs feed from third party aggregator.

Milestone 2 - Option A: Retrieving and aggregating the data into API
Timeline/hours: 30 days
Budget: $45,000
Tasks:

  1. Determining all data sources
  2. Designing API and scrapers for each source
  3. Developing API and deploying scrapers
  4. Testing API and scrapers
  5. Documentation

Deliverables:
An open-source music chart data API service and documentation.

Milestone 2 - Option B: Integration with third-party aggregator
Timeline/hours: 30 days
Budget: $25,000*
Tasks:

  1. Agreement with third-party aggregator
  2. Design API open source gateway
  3. Develop API open source gateway
  4. Test API open source gateway
  5. Documentation

Deliverables:
Open-source access to commercial music chart data API service and documentation.

Milestone 3: API feed to Chainlink
Timeline/hours: 14 days
Budget: $20,000
Tasks:

  1. Design external adapter
  2. Develop external adapter
  3. Test external adapter

Deliverable:
Open-source external adapter for own or third party API to link to Chainlink network.

*Third-party aggregators are commercial products, further fees may be required for an open source integration, this will be identified in the feasibility assessment of Milestone 1.
