gitit's Introduction

A small script that git init the current directory, then pushes your ‘initial commit’ to your custom git server

Usage:

 gitit

Install:

  1. mv the .gitit-config file to your home directory
  2. Customize the .gitit-config file:
user='git' # The SSH user (e.g. 'git')
host='127.0.0.1' # THE SSH host
port='22' # THE SSH port
# The path to your repositories.
# (Warning: No leading or trailing forward slashes)
path='home/git'

  • Add a flag for specifing a directory path
