blogpaper's Issues

255 Site Build Error

I traced back the bug and this was the only error during the build:

Error: Error building site: failed to render pages: render of "page" failed: execute of template failed: template: _default/single.html:3:7: executing "main" at <partial "header" .>: error calling partial: "/opt/build/repo/themes/Blogpaper/layouts/partials/header.html:23:55": execute of template failed: template: partials/header.html:23:55: executing "partials/header.html" at <$.RenderString>: can't evaluate field RenderString in type *hugolib.pageState

When I remove the subtitle code completely everything builds.

What's interesting is I only run into this error when building using netlify. When I build locally it works fine.

Getting blank page after rendering using `hugo server -D`

Hey, @NormandErwan I followed the steps provided in the hugo site, but after opening it via localserver it is showing a blank page, with a message, which is this->
WARN 2021/06/01 17:50:48 found no layout file for "HTML" for kind "home": You should create a template file which matches Hugo Layouts Lookup Rules for this combination.

WARN 2021/06/01 18:16:02 found no layout file for "HTML" for kind "home": You should create a template file which matches Hugo Layouts Lookup Rules for this combination.

The steps that I followed,

  1. hugo new site blog1
  2. cd blog1
  3. git init
  4. git submodule addhttps://github.com/NormandErwan/Blogpaper.git themes/Blogpaper
  5. Then copy-pasted all the files and folders that were present in the exampleSite folder.
  6. made baseurl = ""
  7. ran the command hugo server -D

I am using windows 10,
hugo version gives me hugo v0.82.0-9D960784 windows/amd64 BuildDate=2021-03-21T17:28:04Z VendorInfo=gohugoio

It will be very helpful if you can help. thank you๐Ÿ™‡โ€โ™‚๏ธ.

Can't deploy on Netlify

Error: "/opt/build/repo/themes/Blogpaper/layouts/partials/banner.html:7:1": parse failed: template: partials/banner.html:7: function "merge" not defined

Hugo version 0.54.0

Wide image horizontal scrolling on mobile

From an email I received, I'm reposting here for the reference:

Is there a way to prevent side scrolling ? When viewing a wide or full image on an iPhone, you have to side scroll (as opposed to the image just fitting into the display).

Tag index page empty

When generating the website with Hugo version v0.68.3 (Ubuntu 20.04) the index page does not contain any tags.
In other words: when I call the page www.mysite/tags, I get an empty page. With the Hugo version from Ubuntu 19.10 the index page was still generated correctly.
