cuis-smalltalk-quicknote's Introduction

Cuis-Smalltalk-QuickNote

Tool to take notes and in particular:

  1. To write packages documentation
  2. To copy snippets from/to the Wrokspace when we expect the system can boom!

This is a work in progress. This package is the best way I could figure out to bend StyledText into my needs.

I need to write in monospace and be able to have colored font, highlight, bold and underline.

Start up

Download or clone the package into the directory containing Cuis-Smalltalk-Dev directory, then run Cuis, open a Workspace and type this:

Feature require: 'QuickNote'.

# open a QuickNote document
QuickNote open.

cuis-smalltalk-quicknote's Issues

Font size selector Morph

as title says. By default my font is 9, but I want possibility to change it easily
to avoid having to specify Title, SubTitle, SubSubtitle etc.

System compatiblity with FileList

Which means that
. Files made with QuickNote must have their own extension, eg: .qn
. Files made with QN should be recognized with FileList and opened with appropriate editor

File Autosave

Since QuickNotes are supposed to be used also in critic situation (e.g. qhen the World could crash) it is necessary these files get written frequently on the disk automatically.
