personal-kanban's Issues

Randomized Coloring

For those that does not want to set their color, would it be possible to do what FocalBoard did with random assignment (emojis in their case)? Challenge problem: colors should hopefully not clash (too similar in hue).

Thumbnail feature

Hi @nishantpainter, I really like this project and would like to replace my daily use of Trello with it as soon as possible. The main appeal for me however is the ability to replace/augment card titles with thumbnails (called "covers").

For example.

It makes reading a whole board at a glance much more interesting, and lets you highlight which cards are more important in order of how much attention they capture, (1) just using text for least important, (2) static images for somewhat important and (3) gifs for critical.

I figure the main hurdle from an implementation standpoint is hosting the images. But for that, I would recommend just hosting on GitHub itself; any images dragged into an issue (like this one) creates a public, permanent and anonymous link that should take the burden off hosting for you. The app could potentially take a username to let users upload to their own account; but from experience, any username will do and images aren't tied in any way to that username (and won't be deleted alongside it).

Anyway, just checking if this is of interest. Since I use Trello a lot, but would much prefer an open source, self-hosted option, I'd be interested in contributing to the project to better fit my needs if it turns out we're after the same thing.

Have plan to support Markdown?

Hi,

I find this repo and very like this tool. However, it is a little pity that I can't use markdown.
Do you have plan to add the markdown feature?

Add sync feature

The app works flawlessly on my android browsers.
If the app could sync on website, it would be great to set it as my homepage on both PC and smartphone.

How to "Add to Home" for desktop browser

Hi,
Thanks for develop this app, been looking something like this for long time.

May be I am just being ignorance, but in your Readme stated that one can use 'Add to Home' in browser. But I can not find such thing anywhere in my browser. I checked with my firefox as well as google chrome both do seems to have such feature.

Could you share more on how to achieve Offline use?

Thanks.

Export and import data

Hi! Right now the app uses localstorage for data. Could this be exported and imported for safekeeping?

Document how to install and start

Situation

Thank you for this project! 👍
At the moment, the README file doesn't explain how to install and start it. At least, it's not clear to me. 😉 Especially for users which doesn't know TypeScript it could be helpful to have some basic steps.

Proposal

I would love to see some short steps which are needed to install the project on your computer and how to start it.
Thanks!

Column width

Hi love the tool I use it all the time.

Is there anyway to enable a column width adjustment? It would be nice to be able to see the titles fully and have cards take up less vertical space.

transfer of board to another PC

Hi.
I found your app. it is great- simple and functional.
And I have a question:
Is there any way to transfer the board created on one machine to other (or one web browser to other) ? is there any folder on disc which stores data, I can transfer?
Regards,
kris
