A dataset of 5,863 chest X-ray images, categorized as pneumonia or normal, was used to train a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model for diagnosis. The model includes layers for feature extraction and prediction. Early stopping was implemented to prevent overfitting by monitoring validation loss during training.
