@tjx666 indeed. Both work well enough to make a generator. I wanted to try hygen with Abracadabra and it did the job. Plop.js would have worked too.
If you are dealing with a big monorepo, then maybe hygen is the better choice since it was made for speed & scale it seems: jondot/hygen#1 (comment)

I've set up hygen & created a basic refactoring generator.
What's left to do:
- Create ADR to explain the choice
- Document usage
Nice to have:
- Dynamic prompt instead of CLI parameters
- Ask for ErrorReason details in prompt, so we can create it instead of putting TODOs in generated code
