Introduction

Example code of using the Win32WebView in a Win32 app

Getting Started

To open the project install a Win10 SDK from the latest rs_onecore build. For example: \\winbuilds\release\RS_ONECORE\17607.1000.180214-1448\Other\kit_bundles\windowssdk\winsdksetup.exe

Build and Test

Some current requirements for running the app:

  • Don't run from admin Default COM security rules don't allow an admin process (your app process) to communicate with an app container (the webview process).

  • Don't mix app and OS architecture This is a bug that will be fixed before shipping RS4. Until then, don't run x86 on x64 or WoW otherwise.

  • Run on the latest rs4_release_webplat_dev1 This is our dev branch for Win32WebView. We don't necessarily know what the state of Win32WebView is in other branches.

  • If you get WindowsCreateStringReference linker errors, add 'onecoreuap.lib' to the Win32WebViewSampleApp Property Page | Configuration Properties | Linker | Command Line | Additional Options textbox
