nextjs14

This is a Open Source Documentation for Next.js v14: AI Training with LLMs ๐Ÿฆพ

What's this really for? ๐Ÿ‘€

Introduction

This project is dedicated to creating an open-source documentation for Next.js v14, compiled in Markdown format. Our goal is to build a comprehensive virtual book, contributing to the field of AI training using Large Language Models (LLMs). This resource aims to be an invaluable reference for developers working with Next.js v14.

Objectives

  • Comprehensive Guide: Detailing all aspects of Next.js v14, from basics to advanced features.

  • AI Training: Utilizing this documentation to train AI models, specifically focusing on LLMs.

  • Community Involvement: Encouraging contributions to ensure accuracy, relevance, and comprehensiveness.

Contribution Guidelines

  • Fork & Pull Request: Contributors should fork the repository, make changes, and submit a pull request.

  • Markdown Format: All contributions should be in Markdown to maintain consistency and accessibility.

  • Documentation We Are Relying On: We base our work on the official Next.js documentation and the compilation of v14 in this PDF document.

Future Plans

  • Multilingual Documentation: Expanding the documentation to cover multiple languages for broader accessibility.

  • Interactive Examples: Incorporating live code snippets for an interactive learning experience.

  • Community Workshops: Hosting online sessions to discuss and collaborate on the documentation. Please stay tuned to our discord community

next.js-docs's Issues

Move `/public` Folder Outside of `/src` for Better Structure

I propose moving the /public folder to the root level of the project, aligning with the default Next.js structure. This change would improve clarity, ease of access to static files, and maintain consistency with Next.js best practices.

Benefits include:

  • Easier navigation and management of static assets.
  • Adherence to common Next.js project structures, making it easier for new contributors to understand the repository layout.
  • Potential avoidance of build or deployment issues related to the handling of static files.
