Hi,

we have been using your flasher for some time now, thanks for writing it, however the new release of ESPIDF doesn't work with the flasher?

Any ideas?

Hi guys new to GitsHub but yesterday encountered a problem trying to use the ESPFlasherGUI.

The attached file is a screenshot of the run I made with the tool and attached .bin files and the error messages I got.

The ESP32 board was attached to COM11 on my laptop no other ports were connected.

Any idea what the problem might be?

Since we couldn't find a way to flash ESP firmware on a Mac with an app, we created a MacOS app by following https://build-system.fman.io/pyqt5-tutorial and modifying the code a bit. Is this something you'd want to update the repository with ?

For Linux version, do make sure that you are running the program as sudo, to run it as sudo, navigate to the program directory and enter sudo ./ESPFlasherGUI

Is this just for allowing the serial connection to /dev/ttyUSB ?

In that case it might be better advice to make sure your user is part of the dialout group and/or set appropriate udev rules.
