asterlauncher's Issues

The "Set as default launcher" and "Double tap to lock" features are not working until...

First, I want to say that I love this application so much. I have noticed a few issues that might be good to fix:

  1. "Set as Default Launcher" Option: This option is not working. When I click on it, the app quits.

  2. "Double Tap to Lock" Feature: This feature does not work until I manually set the accessibility service on my Samsung Galaxy device. After setting it up, most issues are resolved. However, the app still becomes stuck while playing Samsung Music in the background.

I hope these issues can be addressed soon. Thank you for creating such a great application for free.

Feel free to tweak it further if needed!

Project Statue

Hello is this project dead? As it hasn't had any work on it for almost 6 months?

Add Option to Show App Icon Next to App Name

It would be nice to have the option to show an app's icon to the left or right of the app name. This might make it easier to quickly find an app, while still preserving the list functionality of the launcher.

Add Borders and Transparent Backgrounds to App Items for Higher Visibility

Please add the option to add borders and transparent backgrounds to app items. This should help improve the visibility of the items, no matter what background is set.

  • Add borders with the following options: three to four border widths, border color picker (maybe just give six color options if a complete color picker is too advanced at the moment).
  • Add transparent backgrounds with the following options: background transparency level (0-100%), and background color picker (maybe just give six color options if a complete color picker is too advanced at the moment).

can you do this?

apps that are installed on an SD card won't stay on home screen

When I add an app that is installed on an SD card to the home screen/favorited apps category, it is removed from the home screen whenever I reboot my phone. The apps on the SD card still appear on the apps list page after they load, just not on the home screen.

Font not rendering correctly

First off, I'm loving the minimalistic launcher and the recent improvements. It's changed how I use my phone for the better.

I think ran into an issue with font rendering on the secondary apps page. I tend to keep my screen fairly dim, and it's very difficult to read the names of my apps even with the brightness turned up all the way. See screenshots for further context. Is this expected behavior?
