I realise this isn't a software issue, but there's no other site for discussion of this project that I've seen.

How are people charging their probes?

It seems like it could be byte #7 and #8 in handle 31. Collecting some data to prove it out.

I'm also working on a similar project, however im targeting an ESP32.

What I'm really looking for now is the probe identifier.
I believe its a uint64 and mine looks similar to 330216606569132003

have you found this in the BT data yet?
im fairly new to playing with Bluetooth, so not getting real far at this point.

Is there any chance to support the meater+ instead of only the probe?

If we can publish MeaterLink format broadcast packets then the standard app will be able to receive these and work normally. This will also allow the real Meater app to publish to the cloud so folks can use a hybrid of the system to publish the data how they want but also use the Meater app/cloud for secondary monitoring.

It is likely that we will need to change the MAC to something different than the real probe so the app won't try to connect directly to the probes and break meaterble.

Great work here. What are your plans for the project?

I'd like to get involved and perhaps get this reporting over MQTT so Home Assistant can make use of the data.

Right now though I'm not off to a great start. I've just got the Meater+ and the scan script is able to see both the probe and the block but I'm not able to connect to either of the addresses using the readMeater.py 00:00:00:00:00:00 script.

Any chance you might be able to propel me into the long weekend so I can have some fun with this, please?

Would be great if you were thinking of integrating this into ESPhome! :)
