Hey thanks for stopping by! Forward is used to take messages from (currently slack or telegram) and forward them to (currently slack or telegram) to run this yoruself, you will need to create a slack app, add a bot account, listen to the message event, add a webhook URL, make a telegram bot, get a mongdb database with a 'Forward' database with a 'Chat' collection, and fill in these environment variables:

MONGO_CONNECTION_STRING
FORWARD_SLACK_TOKEN
SLACK_SIGNING_SECRET
FORWARD_TELEGRAM_TOKEN

Running

How to set up forwarding for multiple chats

forwarding to multiple chats you need to change this https://github.com/SvenWritesCode/Forward/blob/master/src/forward/database.js#L20 to append to some sort of array, fix the getSubscription and delete subscriptions to only delete the specific chat (deleting the whole thing would be easier) and here https://github.com/SvenWritesCode/Forward/blob/master/src/forward/index.js#L20 iterate over all of the subscriptions, sending a message to all of them.

Both Slack and Telegram support bold/italics/code styling - is there a way to keep these constant between them?

Is there a plan to expand this repo past just telegram/slack?

If not, I propose the repo to be renamed Telegram-Slack or something more descriptive.
