Should be

if (lastMove.y != -1 && (by != lastMove.y || bx != lastMove.x)) {
return false;
}

Some compilers may get issues

Highlight the current board, similar to UTTT

Change makeMove method to getBestMove
Use it in makeFirstMove
Use it for showing help to 2 players mode, make an option for this
