I consider using data-timeout in tasty to specify timeouts for tests.
It would be nice if there was a simple language to specify timeouts and a parser for that language, so that a user could run e.g.
./test --timeout=0.5s
For the language itself I suggest sticking to the GNU sleep syntax.
This package says "nanosecond precision" in the description, and API looks as if this is possible. You can't have nanosecond precision in GHC as it only support microsecond precision timeouts and delays, so the API and package description are misleading.
