mindthedark's Issues

Image Backgroung

If dark mode is enabled and an image (*.png) has a transparent background, this can become a problem.

It can simply be fixed with :
.dokuwiki img.media { background: white; }

I found a bug while open image attached on a page: Page style become light

https://dragonserw.ru/start?do=admin&page=config#tpl____mindthedark____tpl_settings_name:
'Color scheme if autoDark is disabled.': light
All other settings: checked.

Hello!
For example:
I open page https://dragonserw.ru/offero:dust-removing ('link a') then click on embedded image (id est https://dragonserw.ru/_detail/store:img_0098.jpg?id=offero%3Adust-removing -- 'link b').
And the bug is:
While the content of link a is dark, the content of link b is light.
I can toggle theme on link b but for the first time light strikes my eyes -- that is not so good you know.
My English is not so fluent -- take notice of that :-)) Thanks! )

I had posted this issue on DW Forum: https://forum.dokuwiki.org/d/20508-mindthedark-i-found-a-bug-while-open-image-attached-on-a-page.

Discussion Plugin: Background color of discussions doesn't change dark/bright

The background of the discussions seems to be always the "alternative background color" for the bright theme. When going dark, the discussions are very bright and hard to read.

Is there a way to automatically switch to the "alternative background color" for the dark theme, maybe somewhere in a CSS, when that theme is chosen? I would like to let the users choose their theme.

Thanks in advance for any hint!

Code File Download

The border for Code File Download is still dashed. It needs to be changed in solid.

Template starts in light mode even when it should start in dark mode

If the color scheme is set to dark, autoDark is false and userChoice is true (image below), the template wrongly starts in light mode.

Expected behaviour: the template starts in dark mode and the Toggle Theme button is shown.

If I disable userChoice, the template correcly starts in dark mode.

Dark theme flickers on page change

Hi,

Firstly, great theme!

When the "tpl»mindthedark»userChoice" configuration button is 'ticked' and you have the dark mode selected - every time you click a link to change to another page, it flickers white then goes to the dark theme.

If you've unselected "tpl»mindthedark»userChoice" and are still using the dark mode, the flickering doesn't happen.

I'm guessing that white is the 'default' mode, and probably needs a css solution to resolve this.

Cheers.

Text color of tagline doesn't change dark/bright

When using tagline text color never changed when switching ligth/dark mode.
It uses <p class="claim"> and it is black on dark mode and become invisible.
Could you help witch css are corresponding to this element to become visible and keep compatible with updates?
Thanks in advance!

How to remove border around images?

Is there a simple way (something in userstyle.css maybe?) to remove the border around images?

image

I reverted to the default theme/template and the border went away, so I'm pretty sure it's specific to MidTheDark.

Thank you!!

"Template Style Settings" change the original template not MindTheDark Template

In the "Template Style Settings" in the Admin section of DokuWiki (doku.php?do=admin&page=styling) I always see and set the colours of the original template not MindTheDark. I am unable to access the colour setting for the MindTheDark theme.

This happens also if I disable autoDark and userChoice.

PS: MindTheDark is great but some grey backgrounds (like the frame / border) are too light and some darker text colours (like the blue links) are too dark. This makes them very hard to read? Would you mind changing the default colours to make the theme more readable?

does not work.

i have installed the template.
activated the template in the konfiguration.
but color doesnt change to darkmode.
and i do not have a toggle button at the top to switch anything.

only the width of site becomes 100%

Compatibility with Struct Schema Editor

The struct plugin for DW offers a schema editor. Unfortunately, when in dark mode, the one column where the configuration is done will have a lot of black text on a dark background, making it difficult to work with.

Apparently, the directives to blame are in jsoneditor.min.css and look like this:

div.jsoneditor-field, div.jsoneditor-value {
    font-family: droid sans mono,consolas,monospace,courier new,courier,sans-serif;
    font-size: 10pt;
    color: #1A1A1A;
}

It's not a huge deal, I can just toggle to the light mode and all is visible. But is there anything I can do from my side to make this work with MTD in dark mode?

support hidden Plugin

Hi,

Could you support hidden Plugin ? https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:hidden
I changed background color and add white icons (default is grey :/ ) in my wiki/conf/userstyle.css :

&:root[theme="dark"] { /** MindTheDark Template **/
.hiddenOnHidden > p, .hiddenOnVisible > p {background-color: #4c4c4c;}
div.hiddenGlobal.hiddenHidden > div.hiddenHead p::after {background-image:url('data:image/png;base64,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') !important;}
div.hiddenGlobal:not(.hiddenHidden) > div.hiddenHead p::after {background-image:url('data:image/png;base64,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') !important;}
}

Maybe it could be improved but it's a start.

Compatibility with Prosemirror WYSIWYG editor for DokuWiki

Recently, I started using the Prosemirror WYSIWYG editor in DokuWiki.

The editor uses some sort of color banding in the background. I think the idea is that the two colors used in the band should contrast only very little. Enough for the banding still to be visible but not enough to bother.

This works fine with the regular DW template. And it works still fine with the light mode of MindTheDark. But when switching to the dark mode, you get some black and white banding which makes it essentially impossible to work in the editor window.

I did some testing and can confirm that Prosemirror, when in dark mode, uses the "Main background color" as one of the two colors and "Main background color in dark color scheme" as the other. That gives you this impossible kind of banding that makes things illegible.

Curiously, I could not figure out what the secondary color is in light mode. "Main background color" continues to be one of the two but the second one does not seem to be taken from the list of colors in the template style settings.

Please let me know if you believe this issue should be reported to ProseMirror rather than here.

By the way, since I prefer to work in the Dark Mode, an easy workaround is to simply set the "Main background color" to something very dark. But it would still be nice to have the ability to toggle.

Syntax highlighting for code?

As you can already see on the screenshot in the documentation, syntax highlighting for code ends up looking not so good on a dark background.

Seems DokuWiki uses GeSHi for syntax highlighting, and there's some work done for some other software also using GeSHi on how to make it work well with dark mode that might be possible to take advantage of:

highlight not working in dark theme

DokuWiki 2018.04.22 on my Synology NAS
MindTheDark 2020-12-02

While testing syntax highlighting, I discovered the actual "highlight_lines_extra" feature is not working in the dark theme.

Example code:
<code bash [enable_line_numbers="true",highlight_lines_extra="2"]> var de = function() { return (typeof(window.de) == 'object') ? window.de : {}; }(); </code>
