MRoundedButton

MRoundedButton is a subclass of UIControl and the appearance is like the iOS 7 Phone app button or the button on the Control Center and also perform fade in/out animation for touch event.

Four button styles are suplied:

MRoundedButtonDefault           //  central text
MRoundedButtonSubtitle          //  text with subtitle
MRoundedButtonCentralImage      //  central image
MRoundedButtonImageWithSubtitle //  image with subtitle

To set a transparent border:

MRoundedButton *button = [[MRoundedButton alloc] initWithFrame:#<BUTTON_FRAME>
                                                   buttonStyle:#<BUTTON_STYLE>];
button.borderWidth = 2;
button.borderColor = [UIColor clearColor];

The value of borderWidth and cornerRadius are limited to MIN(BUTTON_WIDTH / 2, BUTTON_HEIGHT / 2). Setting the cornerRadius to FLT_MAX or MRoundedButtonMaxValue can easily make a round button.

CocoaPods

platform :ios, '6.0'
pod "MRoundedButton", "~> 1.0"

The 1.1 version is not CocoaPods ready, can download it from here

MRoundedButtonAppearanceManager

MRoundedButtonAppearanceManager is the appearance manager for MRoundedButton, each appearance information can be stored in a NSDictionary object to make it reusable in the whole project:

NSDictionary *appearanceProxy = @{kMRoundedButtonCornerRadius : @40,
                                  kMRoundedButtonBorderWidth  : @2,
                                  kMRoundedButtonBorderColor  : [UIColor clearColor],
                                  kMRoundedButtonContentColor : [UIColor blackColor],
                                  kMRoundedButtonContentAnimationColor : [UIColor whiteColor],
                                  kMRoundedButtonForegroundColor : [UIColor whiteColor],
                                  kMRoundedButtonForegroundAnimationColor : [UIColor clearColor]};
[MRoundedButtonAppearanceManager registerAppearanceProxy:appearanceProxy1 forIdentifier:#<UNIQUE_IDENTIFIER>];

MRHollowBackgroundView

MRHollowBackgroundView can be used to place the MRoundedButton on an image view or something.

In the drawRect: method, each subview of HRHollowView will be cliped to its bounds by CGContextEOFillPath(). Then the superview can be displayed from the hollowed shapes.

mroundedbutton's Issues

AutoLayout support

It would be nice to have intrinsicContentSize implemented too, and then it will work for Autolayout.

How to programmatically set highlight the button?

Hi, thanks for the great control. I'm using this button as a like/unlike button - and I need to progammatically check if the user has previously liked the photo, and if so I must display the highlighted version of the button. However

 [likeButton setHighlighted:YES];

does nothing.

initWithCoder support?

It would be really awesome with support for storyboards and nibs. I guess that have to be to implement initWithCoder.

Make button tap momentary (i.e so the button doesn't remain white after tap)

Firstly, thanks for an amazing control, it is very useful. I have one concern, before using it in production: when I tap the button (a MRoundedButtonCentralImage) it shows it has been tapped by inverting the colours, and making the button background white. How can this be only momentary, i.e when I release my finger from the button it goes back to its original state? Thanks for your help in advance!

Center textlabel's Y-coordinate?

I noticed that if I have more than 2 characters in a MRoundedButton the text is shifted downwards.

It's worse with Japanese/Chinese characters since they're a little bit wider.

iOS8 today extension, button deselects itself after touch.

I'm having a problem when using MRoundedButton in an iOS8 today extension. Sometimes the button would immediately deselect itself upon selection. I found that setSelected being called twice, is what's causing it. It's set to "YES" when beginTrackingWithTouch is called and then set to "NO" when endTrackingWithTouch is called. Additionally I found that sometimes beginTrackingWithTouch is called twice. I'm assuming this is an iOS8 bug. For now I commented out the code that performs the selection in the methods:

beginTrackingWithTouch
continueTrackingWithTouch
endTrackingWithTouch

and I'm performing the selection manually in my action method by calling [sender setSelected:YES] or NO depending on the situation and it seems to be working fine.
