Build Status Downloads Version

All code is library agnostic and consist mostly of helper methods that aren't directly related with the DOM, the purpose of this library isn't to replace Dojo, jQuery, YUI, Mootools, etc, but to provide modular solutions for common problems that aren't solved by most of them. Consider it as a crossbrowser JavaScript standard library.

Main goals

  • increase code reuse;
  • be clear (code should be clean/readable);
  • be easy to debug;
  • be easy to maintain;
  • follow best practices;
  • follow standards when possible;
  • don't convert JavaScript into another language!
  • be compatible with other frameworks;
  • be modular;
  • have unit tests for all modules;
  • work on multiple environments (IE7+, modern browsers, node.js);

What shouldn't be here

  • UI components;
  • CSS selector engine;
  • Event system - pub/sub;
  • Template engine;
  • Anything that isn't generic enough to be on a standard library;
  • Anything that could be a separate library and/or isn't a modular utility...

Left-hand Nav UX improvement

Hey,
how would you feel about me implementing the following UX improvement for the left-hand navigation?

Use localStorage to remember whether you've checked Show Description or not. Then each time you visit the site, if you checked the box previously, it will remember this and the descriptions will appear.

Message in the inject console feature

Inject modules into a 'utils' object on the global scope so you can use the browser console to test them.

I think it should be:
Inject modules into the 'mout' object on the global scope so you can use the browser console to test them.

This feature creates a mout global and not a utils global.

Bug in basic example index.html

Code example has argument name bug

map([1, 2], function(v){ return val * val; }); // [1, 4]

Should be:

map([1, 2], function(val){ return val * val; }); // [1, 4]

automate version bump

process is still a little bit manual, let's create a proper build script to automate the process.
