openletter's Issues

Names don't fit, showing horizontal scrollbar

The list of signatures is responsive to the browser width and will decrease the number of columns when there is not enough space. However, this doesn't work properly. Long names in the rightmost column are cut off and a scrollbar is visible. See screenshot:

It seems to be caused by long names in earlier columns not wrapping:

Browser: Firefox 113.0.2 on Ubuntu 22.04. Screen resolution: 1920x1080.

Interestingly, this issue only occurs on my laptop (HP Elitebook). On my desktop, same OS and browser version, same resolution, all names are wrapped properly. The issue is persistent through refreshes, the order of the names changes but still long names are not wrapped.

In Chrome it works fine on both computers.

Same issue that is marked as fixed: https://github.com/ArtOfCode-/openletter/issues/2

Indicate number of moderators in the list of signatures

As of right now, I see 103 moderators out of 790 signatures, but it would be nice to get this automatically.

Since the number has been making the news, maybe it would also be useful to indicate what percentage of mods are on strike, ideally per-site.

How is the signatory list sorted?

I see the diamond and ex-diamond going on top of the list, but I cannot understand how the rest is sorted.

It does not seems to be based on the date of signature, nor on the user's display name, nor on their reputation, nor on their user id, ...

Beside the (ex-)diamond being featured, shouldn't the list have a consistent ordering? FWIIW, most of the petitions I see online are sorted by date of signature.
