Getting the UTS guest image working under VM/370 (SixPack)

• Place the DASD image under a uts folder and update the hercules configuration to add the DASD device:

0150 3330 uts/uts.150

• With the dasd attached, the volume can be manually brought online by OPERATOR via:

CP ATTACH 150 SYSTEM UTSSYS

[this command can be added to AUTOLOG1's PROFILE to do this automatically on CP startup]

To configure the UTS guest, something like the following will need to be added to the system directory:

• To start the guest, login as UTS and answer the following at the system name prompt:

uts for single user mode
autouts for multi-user login - the system will automatically disconnect and a login session
can be started via DIAL UTS from the VM/370 login.
