Getting started

  • In order for you to use the content in this repo ensure you have the following:
    • Linux
    • Mac Os
  • To use this repo on your machine you need to clone by either using:
    • terminal
    • forking directly from the repo.
Cloning using button labelled forking
  - click on the the fork button in the top most rigt corner of the github to fork the repo to your own account

Installation

     - Install the npm packages by running the command below;
                        npm install   

Deployment

To view web application click 0n the link below

Running and testing

Running the application is very straight forward. You can use the following steps to run the app.

  • Before testing this application you need to do the following in your terminal:

      - first run the command below to start your db.json file;
      
          npm install to install npm packages
             
    
      - secondly run the command command below to start the react app.;
            npm start 
      - 
    
Test the application by:
    - First Login by clicking the "Login" button is you already have authenticated

    -else if you haven't authenticated signup by clicking the "sign up" button 

- In the app there is a Navbar which have the following features:

-Home

Onclick it displays the list of all random animals which has a button that redirects the user to more details about the animal selected.

Has an input that allows the user to search the animals by type or breed

Organizations

onclick it displays the list of all organizations which offers adoption services for animal adoptions.

it has a Read More link that redirect the user to get more information about the organization.

Animal Category

On click it opens a page tha has a red button that when a user clicks on it , it displays the animal catigories available for adoptions.

-     When a user clicks on a red button it dispalys a table that has the categories of the animal.

-   To view the species per animal  category click the category name in the table and you will see the species available.
Back button

it allows the user to go to the previous page.

Description

This a petflix web application where users can get Pets to adopt and organizations where they can adopt.
