morevna-builds's Issues

AppImage does not run on Ubuntu 16.04

The AppImage from https://gumroad.com/l/opentoonz-linux# does not run out-of-the-box:

me@host:~$ '/home/me/Downloads/OpenToonz-1.1.1-2016.09.26-64bit.AppImage'
./../bin/OpenToonz_1.1: error while loading shared libraries: libglut.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Please include libglut.so.3 inside the AppImage.

Also, you might want to use the desktopintegration script to place OpenToonz in the menu.

@probonopd - forwarding you're report here.

Provide a way to verify Opentoonz morevna edition download

Apologies if this is not the right place, but it seems like there is no specify place to discuss about this edition. I would like to request a way to verify the download files which are downloaded from Sourceforge. A Sha256sum or GPG would be great.

Multiple copy of Synfig repository

In /docker-builder-data/build/packet/
In both debian-64-native and linux-64
There are multiple copies of Synfig repository
(as synfigetl-master, synfigcore-master and synfigstudio-master)
Wouldn't it be possible to use only one copy for all?
They consume currently 167MB each on disk at the moment!

opentoonz plastic tool crash

when I add the second skeleton to mesh then delete it than add it again the program crash.
I test it in win7 and win10

GDI32.DLL Error

Add `gdbus.exe` to Synfig Windows package

DBus is a necessary component of the GTK stack.

The gdbus binary is needed to create a session bus on Windows, which doesn’t have a DBus server spawned automatically when the session starts. When GTK tries to acquire the application’s name on the session bus, it will spawn the DBus server provided by GIO on Windows. The component responsible for searching the gdbus.exe binary is GIO, not GTK.

The gdbus.exe binary should be installed in the same directory as the GIO DLL.

Switch to AppImage v2?

Maybe we could switch AppImage to v2?

This format has some interesting possibilities like:

  • Compression of the AppImage file
  • Optionnal real portable mode adding a directory appname.AppImage.home or appname.AppImage.config
  • Switches like --appimage-extract and --appimage-extract-and-run

Synfig installer desktop link naming

x64-bit installer must create Synfig Studio (x64) desktop link or x32 must create Synfig Studio (x86) link.
Because The 64-bit version is the main, it is better to choose the second option.

Drawing broken on linux w/ cintiq tablet

Machine: System76 Oryx Pro laptop
OS: Pop!_OS (Ubuntu 18.04 bionic (x86-64))
Kernel: 5.3.0-7625-generic
GPU: nvidia GP104M (GTX 1070 Mobile)
GPU Driver: nvidia 440
OpenToonz: v1.3.0 (Morevna Edition) (built Feb 2 2019 01:12:37)
App Package: OpenToonz-1.3.0-morevna-19.02.02-linux64-ac306.appimage

Vector drawing issue: brush stroke does not appear until stylus is lifted from the cintiq surface. If the tablet is disconnected and drawing is done with the mouse, the vector line shows up during the brush stroke as expected.

Raster drawing issues (both regular and Toonz levels): In addition to the brush stroke not showing up until after the stylus is lifted from the cintiq surface, it is severely offset (down and to the left) even though the mouse cursor correctly appears directly beneath the stylus. After a few strokes, the brush tool stops working entirely in the drawing area, although new strokes continue to appear in the Level Strip panes.

"There is a newer version of the softwae available" popup needs to reflect the Morevna Edition

I am running the latest opentoonz morevna edition (1.2.0.3) and today I got a popup about a new version.

However the new version offered is not the morevna edition, it is the generic opentoonz. Furthermore if you click on the popup it redirects you to https://opentoonz.github.io/e/#download which doesn't even offer a linux version.

Clearly the popup happens because the morevna edition is a bit behind the standard version, however it is not useful at all if you use the ME.

I suggest to remove it or (better) to change it, so that it tells you about a new version of the morevna edition and the link redirects you to https://morevnaproject.org/opentoonz/ .
Best Regards

But when I try morevna-opentoonz 32 bits version, there is no problem, it starts very well.

Can you help me to solve this problem? Thanks
