Step 2: Describe your environment

• Device: Windows 10 Pro
• OS version: 21H1 19043.1081
• App version: v0.12.0 and HEAD

Step 3: Describe the problem:

• The left panel is empty, none of friends or chats are shown
• in debug->network, friends&albums requests and wss connection all succeeded, I can see base64-encoded up/down-stream websocket messages.
• profile/settings does not respond to click
• Search works.. means friends response is stored locally somewhere?
• But clicking search result(contact or group) does not always bring chat
• In chat window, contact info and other options do not respond to click as well.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Download v0.12.0 or build using current HEAD (yarn electron:build --win portable)
2. Run mixin.exe and login.

Expected Results:

Work like mobile or macos version.

Like the mobile app

1. clear storage or cache for different conversations
2. settings on automatic downloads of different media type: photos, videos, files

I clear up all the unread messages, but the notification number doesn't disappear.

1. In a group conversation,
2. after someone left,
3. when the first time I send messages to the conversation with the desktop messenger,
4. and my network is not good, the connecting indicator always occur
5. and my messages sent successfully after about 2 minutes due to my bad connection
6. all other people (including my own Android) can't decrypt my first message,
7. but they can decrypt all following messages,

The audio player should have different colours when the audio message played, just like the Android or iOS app.

Some recall the message, the quoted message would delete, will be normal after refresh.

1. When emoji is the first character in name, the default avatar is distorted.
2. The default avatar and name color is inconsistent with Android and iOS versions.

If someone sends several consecutive messages, the margin between each message items should be smaller. Android and iOS app already have this.

The app doesn't have an effective mechanism to upload new one time prekeys to the server.
