Don't know why, but this utility is not working. Tests not passed.
The first error I got:

IOError: Error reading file '/tmp/moodle2edxM84lyB/questions.xml': failed to load external entity "/tmp/moodle2edxM84lyB/questions.xml"

Then I found this possible solution:

And fixed line 449 in main.py: I replaced
moodq = etree.parse('%s/%s' % (dir,qfn))
to
moodq = etree.parse(StringIO('%s/%s' % (dir,qfn)))

Then I got an error:
lxml.etree.XMLSyntaxError: Start tag expected, '<' not found, line 1, column 1

What happens? Your researches in this subject would be very useful for my group that now porting moodle courses to edX . Thank you.

P. S. I have following versions of packages:

html2text==2014.9.25
lxml==3.4.1
