STP file for wobblex

Looking for a cad file for the WS12 WobbleX. I may have missed it, but I don't see it anywhere in the cad file. The CAD file contains the 3d printed version. Thank you!

ZR2.6 WobbleRing SFU1204 LowerDisc V1 - does not fit all ball screw nuts which exist in 24mm too

The inner diameter of the LowerDisc where the ball screw should fit in is 22mm. But ball screw nuts with a 24mm diameter are also very common.
There is not much room but maybe the design could be adapted, at least in a second version to fit the 24mm ball screw nuts. So not all of the ppl affected need to figure this out, adept the design and print it again :-D
Who comes around this, here is a version with an inner diameter of 24.5mm: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1R7lG31QwiJN3g-fD6eqDFybKqCpFvIof/view?usp=sharing

Best,
Manuel

DIN Rail dimensions

Hi MirageC,
I have printed the parts and everything fits nicely together and looks great! Well done!
What is the DIN rail you used? While all the parts fit well together, the box does not fit on the DIN rail. It is a commonly used 35mm wide rail (DIN rail TS35x7.5).
The clips are too small, I need to apply extreme force to even get close. Any harder and it will break.

HD9 and HD12 Suggestion: Allow pullies/idlers with wider flanges.

The HD9 and HD12 BOM (and printed parts) use an E3 specified idler and pullies that have a flange diameter of 15mm

The STD version uses pulleys with a 18mm flange

A lot of vendors have the 9/10mm width and 12mm pulleys with the flange size 18mm, they doesn't fit, seems to be missing 0.5-1.5mm clearance (have not tested all locations)

STL Files

The link to the STL files is broken.

ZR2.6 Motor Mounts - Rear facing M6 attaching to 3030 are shifted outwards by 1.705mm

Problem:

I have been chasing the root cause of this shift in the CADs and I am going all the way back to the ZR2.8 which was the basis for these motor mounts and the issue is also present.
I am surprised that I have not came across this issues when assembling my printer and that no one reported this before today. Good catch @Steffen12345 !
This situation is present on both FrontLeft and FrontRight ZR2.6 Motor mounts. Rear unit is not affected.

Corrective action plan

I will be correcting the files today and re-issue STLs with corrected dimensions. I will post the update here and on FB.

Meanwhile (Recommendation)

If you already printed those parts:
I recommend that you're-drill the holes a bit bigger to facilitate the installation. Make sure that both reference surfaces are sitting flush to the 3030 extrusions during installation.

If your printer is assembled (As it is the case for mine):
The impact of this shift is very limited on the overall assembly. Especially with WobbleX. I recommend you leave as is.

Synchronize required cutouts in panels for XY mounts (front pulleys, motor mounts)

Hi Olivier,

currently the panels for the different XY variants (Std, HT, HD) all require different sizes for the cutouts - to be able to use the same panels for all variants would be really nice!

I think the largest cutout is needed for HD12, on the left pulley the lower edge is flush with the extrusion - STD und HT variants both use more on the left side.

i could try to redesign the left pulley mount for the STD variant :)

Kind regards,
Martin

HD12: Right Motor mount sticking out of the case

Hey Mirage,

found an issue with the right motor mount for the HD12 gantry - the mount is sticking out from the rear of the case, in the AcidBee CAD-File there seems to be a variant that stays inside the case - is there an update for HD12 missing?

Thanks a lot!

Kind regards,
Martin

[SPAWD HD12] Bad clearance on idler shafts MotorMount_FR and MotorMount_FL

Both the FR and FL motor mounts have (what i assume to be) bad clearance for the inner idler shaft holes. Every other idler shaft hole has r=2.55, except for the two with r=2.50

This makes inserting the pins impossible without a press

Meanwhile the RR, RL, motor covers and tensioners have better clearance

Priline PC-CF not suitable for HevORT parts

From M3NT8L (Discord):

Just shared this in the facebook group, thought Id double down here. Priline PC-CF is not good for our machine parts. Its been shared many times, but a reminder for anyone new is good. This is what I ended up with after a year of printing with my second machine (these pics are a couple years old now)
Even the air pump mount in the electronics bat at only maybe 40 deg max went wet noodle.

XY STD and HT V2.5 Split carriage will need a Shorter X Axis

The newer style split carriage used in the XY 2.5 version of STD and HT have thicker section between pulleys and X corss member. For that reason, a revised X cross member needs to be included in the BOM and the frame calculator.

A 315mm build will require a 420mm long X cross member (was 431 per calculator).

Non-parametric cad

I downloaded the cad for the hevort from fusion 360, and there's inconsistency in the files where some of them are parametric and some are not, such as the frame and z axis rails and screws, but not the heated bed.
