Azur Lane is set to have the 3rd anniversary for the Japanese side of things, which means a new major event, and some new stuff coming into the game. After doing some reading, there are probably going to be some new mechanics added that I didn't anticipate before.
First, let's start with the new ships:
- IJN Chiyoda (CVL)
- IJN Chitose (CVL)
- IJN Kumano (CA)
- IJN Kashino (Transport Ship)
- IJN Suzutsuki (DD)
- IJN Kii (BB)
- IJN Shinano (CV)
I noted two in particular, Kashino and Shinano. Kashino is the first Transport ship coming to the game, though I'm not sure how she'll function. According to one site I came across about the event, she'll provide certain buffs for the fleet as a vanguard ship, much like Vestal and Akashi as repair ships for the Main Fleet.
Shinano on the other hand, she's the first regular Ultra Rare ship and she's going to likely be an edge case. From what I have read, she won't have the traditional limit breaks, can already level to 120, and same-type ship merging as well as the new Bulin MKIII providing advantages.
If there are other mechanics that may be a problem, I'll edit this further and go from there. So far, those are likely going to be the major sticking points.
Dreamwaker's Butterfly is set to start on Sept. 17th.
